I do remember something about federal dollars though.
Could be my memory is faulty, but there was talk about funds not used properly. Perhaps it was the issue you just brought up, that I’m thinking of.
I nosed around a bit, and found that inspections seemed to determine the dam was in decent shape before the problem surfaced.
Costs have now skyrocketed from around a $125 million dollar estimate to around a $1 billion dollar estimate. Ouch!
I remember when I was out there at the end of 2008 there was a big deal about Sacramento County motor vehicles issued to county employees. It seemed that in four years there had been an increase in staff being issued government paid vehicles. Small increase — TEN FOLD.
The people allowed the democrats to enslave them for tax purposes and the democrats once ate the trough, drank long and deep.

racism? only if you count the reverse type
Corruption and incompetence played parts in it...they have to add the sexism/racism charges to stay grounded with their normal battle plans when trying to get extra attention and money from that which supports their lazy asses.....insane arguments but couldn’t happen to a more deserving Dem stronghold...that is already in debt and bleeding taxpaying citizens like an artery has been cut.
