New York pediatric office sends unique message about vaccinations

A recent outbreak of the measles in New York has some local physicians looking for unique ways to get the message out about vaccines. UR Medicine and pediatricians recently made a video to get the message out. Now, one pediatric office is taking another approach. hand said she posted a picture of her colleagues wearing the shirt on Facebook and it gained some traction. She said it reached 17,000 people in just a few days and received positive messages. “The anti-vaccine movement has such a voice that the pro-vaccine movement needs to,” said Shand. The message that reads on the t-shirts is simple: Vaccines Cause Adults. “It’s kind of a play on vaccines cause autism, which they do not. They cause adults,” Shand said. “Healthy kids get vaccinated and grow into adulthood and be healthy adults.” The shirts were printed by Crazy Dog T-Shirts in Rochester for free. Owner Bill Kingston said the store has already filled a couple dozen orders for the shirts.

How about a t-shirt that says immigrants and illegals cause the rebirth of turd world diseases in the USA.

“How about a t-shirt that says immigrants and illegals cause the rebirth of turd world disease in the USA.”

My tagline is a little more polite and might help stop the inflow of Medieval diseases into America.

FAKE NEWS!

Big Pharma + FedGov have unlimited buckets of cash to spend spreading a pro-vaccine message.

Anti-Vaxxers have a few Facebook pages and small market AM radio shows.

I guess that poses too big of a threat.

There are vaccines and then there are vaccines. Accepting some vaccines shouldn’t be a blank check to accept all vaccines, especially by people with a totalitarian mindset, or people who have ties to the industry.

Each vaccine should stand on its own.

Isn't that the same argument the gun-grappbers use? If it will save just one child it's worth all the collateral damage, destruction and infringement of rights. Isn't that what the lefties say?

Best thing we could do is stop admitting sick foreigners into this country.

My ancestors who came over would have been turned away for certain diseases.

Its not the antivaxxers who are infecting people and causing outbreaks.

"Its not the antivaxxers who are infecting people and causing outbreaks."

By not vaccinating sufficient numbers of individuals, the easy spread of the contagion is made possible. They may not be the cause, but they are certainly assisting the spread.

“FAKE NEWS!”

Vaccinations are very basic science. They stimulate the immune system and protect from disease.

There are a few people that suffer some negative effects from them. There may be some negative side effects if too many vaccinations are given in too short of time period.

That is a flawed assumption that unvaxxed are always part of an outbreak.

What is fact is we are letting in exotic diseases unchecked and they are spreading and are the sources of major outbreaks everyone is freaking out about lately.

Further the vaxes people take here, arent geared to the foreign strains no one cultures a vax for here, so that isnt the antivaxers fault.

This is a classic case of the powers that be delberately creating a problem in order to blame a subset of people that won’t go along with big brothers demands.

The measles is “exotic” now?

“ There are a few people that suffer some negative effects”.

That sounds nice but it is dangerously misleading. You should familiarize yourself with VAERS and you might not be so casual about vaccine injury. So far they have paid over 4 billion to people injured by vaccines. The pipeline of new cases is massive and continues to grow as “they” keep adding more and more vaccines to the schedule.

The truth is vaccines are not benign. There are serious risks associated with them and blithely telling people to shut up and get vaccinated is asinine.

Thanks to vaccines, mumps, measles, polio, rubella, chicken pox, scarlet fever(?) . . . were on the wane when I was a kid. I got a shingles vaccine last year and never gave it second thought.

Anti-vaxxers don’t want to get their kids vaccinated? Doesn’t make sense to me, but I’d rather see freedom from coercion than forced vaccinations.

Sometimes they are.

Father at centre of measles outbreak didn't vaccinate children due to autism fears

Sorry, but that is not an “assumption”. It is one of the primary facts of epidemiology.

An unvaccinated population causes faster and wider spread, no matter what the original vector might have been.

Why do you think that if there is an outbreak and a vaccine exists, the first thing that is done is to vaccinate as much or the population around the outbreak source as possible?

None of this is saying that letting vector carriers into the US is a good thing....it is not. But not vaccinating children ain’t a good thing either. If you’re worried about the X-in-one vaccine, tell your doctor that you want individual vaccines in a series of shots.

Hi.

This is a PSA:

If you go into the U.S. military, you will be vaccinated.
Period.

Certain countries that you will deploy to have various diseases. You will be vaccinated for all of them.

No if ands or buts. Trust me, there is no hyperbole in this post.

I also dont want vaccines cultured using aborted fetal cells.

Most manufacturers now do not have alternatives anymore.

The aborted sources were done long ago, and those guilty have probably long since died. No new abortions are required. I'd worry a lot more about the abortions being done yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Antivaxers are either idiots, or dupes.

Often both.

While I wish no harm on their children, if they catch some disease because of their parent’s idiocy, well, I’ll say nothing. Just think it.

Everybody dies. Nobody is exempt. It’s all about increasing your children’s odds, of not dying (or being mailed) because of some preventable disease.

Antivaxers are selfish, over their kids.

Yep - Chicken Pox is usually mild in children and creates a immunity against shingles...the Chicken Pox vaccine is starting to show a big connection between it and a rise in Shingles cases...IOW, it probably does more harm than good, but it “defends against a childhood disease” (no matter how mild) and therefore they will push it...lots of viruses for childhood diseases, when caught in the wild, help develop and boost the immune system much more effectively than if the exposure is through a vaccine.
