Define “more educated”. Going to college and in many cases getting a useless degree does not make you a smart person.

We definitely see that with Ocasio-Cortez.

She has an economics degree, but doesn’t know how the unemployment rate is calculated.

She thinks that since the $3 billion in tax abatements will not be going to Amazon with that deal being scuttled, that now they have $3 billion in the bank to repair the subway.

She disregards any concerns about cost of the green new deal, because we only have 12 years to deal with global warming, thus, we can’t debate little details such as how much it will cost, or where the money or physical labor to retrofit every building in America will come from.

I am 74, if I only had a copy of my eighth grade final exams which I had to pass to ENTER high school I would challenge any recent college graduate to pass them, with the answers which were considered correct in 1958, not some screwball nonsense.

getting a useless degree does not make you a smart person.

Getting a PhD in physics or engineering doesn't make you smart either. Going to college doesn't make you smart. Going to college is a potentially profitable thing for a smart person to do.
