Spike Lee, the famed director whose BlacKkKlansman, was up for a best picture award at the Oscars on Sunday night, reportedly attempted to storm out of the Dolby Theatre after it was announced that Green Book won the award.
He walked toward the back of the auditorium and, according to a reporter for Deadline, got into what appeared to be an intense conversation with the writer Jordan Peele. The report said that he turned his back to the stage during the speech.

Hmmm, maybe I should see Green Book after all, if Spike disapproves.
The entitled will always be amongst us.
Is Spike making an ass of himself really news?
Spikey: Don’t let the door hitcha in the arse!
U Mad, Bro?
He’s just a humble black filmaker documenting the black experience and enlightening the world about black oppression and that’s enough for h... WTF DIDN’T I WIN MF!?!
I’ve not been impressed with Jordan Peele as of late either.
I like Mahershala Ali, the actor from “The Green Book” - he was quite good in “Luke Cage”. I’m glad to see he won an Oscar tonight. Maybe I’ll go see this picture.
Now Spike Lee is furious?
The good news never stops in the Trump Era!!
Thanks Spike, you just converted more people to become Trump voters.
My B-I-L had a couple of Cameos in the Movie about James Brown called “Get Up”.
He was supposed to play a Racist Cop but they didn’t have a Costume that would fit him. He ended up playing the Stage Manager and he was in a Scene where some Black Kids were beating each other up while a bunch of White Racists laughed.
It pays to be a Whitey when they need some Bigots in a Movie. Speaking of Bigots, it was great to see both Spike Lee and Congressman John Lewis during the Oscar Telecast.
What a baby.
I saw “Oldboy” only because it was a Great Korean horror/thriller movie and wanted to see what he did with it.
It wasn’t bad and frankly I was surprised he had the guts to take it on.
I still hate him and his horrific depiction of Americans of Italian descent in his early movies.
There’s plenty of other reasons to hate him too.
He won an Oscar tonight, and he’s mad he didn’t win a second one??? Really????
He’s a filthy, wealthy stinking racist. Too bad this country has been so good to him.
Sore loser, eh?
If I went to see movies any more I might’ve gone to see Green Book.
Please. He also pulled the same emo-stunt in 1993, when Malcolm X didn’t win.
I don’t know what was more pathetic: that, or Tarantino’s sulky, passive-aggressive, butthurt speech in 1995, when Pulp Fiction lost out to Forrest Gump.
