No crisis on the border? Mexico's situation does not support that conclusion

We continue to hear that there is no crisis on the border.  However, the situation in Mexico does not support that conclusion.

Let me ask you this: have you talked to anyone in Mexico lately?  When you do, eventually, you will talk about the violence in the country.

Over in Cancún, a Caribbean resort with beautiful beaches and wonderful hotels, the violence has arrived.  This is from the latest advisory:

Mexico makes a popular destination for vacationers enjoying spring break, but a warning from the US State Department remains in effect for the busy travel season.

The advisory was first issued in November, but may take on new urgency in the wake of a deadly attack at a club in Cancun on Saturday, as reported by Fox News.

In the shooting at La Kuka, located in central Cancun about four miles from the area housing most tourist hotels, a group of four men opened fire, killing five people and wounding five others.

In April of last year, 14 people were killed in Cancun in a 36-hour span.

When the State Department unveiled its new, four-tiered travel advisory system, they placed the Mexican states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacan, Sinaloa and Tamaulipas in the highest tier of danger, advising Americans not to travel there at all.

"Violent crime, such as murder, armed robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, extortion, and sexual assault, is common.  Gang activity, including gun battles and blockades, is widespread," the warning reads, in part.

Gang activity? That’s interesting.

Why the gangs? What are they fighting about?

They are not fighting over the blondes on the beach. They are killing each other over drug routes to the U.S.

Crisis on the border? Yes.

And that’s the thing... Not only are we harming ourselves, we are also harming Mexico because they are the stepping stone on the way here for all this criminal activity.

We have family that live in TJ and have really restricted their activities. They live in a nice area and have house with a pool, but many nights they have heard gunfire between police and gangs and between gangs. We won’t go to visit them any more. There are a lot of Mexican Americans who support Trump.

This type of violence has been going on for at least 2 decades with warnings from the State Department Mexico.

Why does Mexico allow them to cross their border?

RE: Why does Mexico allow them to cross their border?

There are two problems:

1) People going through Mexico from Central America to come to the USA

2) Drug Cartels IN MEXICO itself.

This article is talking about #2 above.

Cry me a river. I hate Mexico and it’s people. Now they’re getting a taste of what we’ve had to put up with for decades.

We should give them a real taste. We should throw our trash into their yard for a change. We should release 10,000 felons from our State Prisons into Mexico each year until they cry Uncle.

The Deep State must have a no negative media coverage order concerning Mexico. Only explanation for the lack of coverage.

I agree entirely! The absolute gall of these Mexicans. They have been invading our country for decades. Demanding free education and health care(and getting it) our politicians bending over back wards to give them everything they wanted. Remember May 1, 2006 when hundreds of thousand marched in our streets demanding to be made citizens? I haven't forgotten that. God how I hate Mexicans. They're nothing but arrogant beggars and hypocrites.
