This “clarification” could be exhibit 1 in the $250 million lawsuit. If you diagram the sentences carefully, it’s a clarification. If you simply scan it like most liberal readers do, it reads like a confirmation of all the Fake News the WaPo is famous for.

It took them six minutes to slap together a same-day blend of slander and libel when the narrative fit their prejudices.
