Judicial Nominee Allison Jones Rushing Is Part of the Far-Right Takeover of Our Nation’s Courts
Pfaw.org ^ | 10/16/18 | Marge Baker

Rushing’s anti-constitutional ideology has come through in other ways, as well. For instance, she co-authored an article evidencing a shocking mischaracterization of both the Establishment Clause and its supporters. She described lawsuits filed by supporters of the Establishment Clause as allowing:

"[E]very village secularist to charge into court with the ACLU and challenge governmental acknowledgements of religion, no matter how passive or benign. These delicate plaintiffs with eggshell sensitivities—who claim deep offense at the acknowledgement of any beliefs that conflict with their own—then seek court orders censoring the religious message, as a type of ‘heckler’s veto. "

Allison Jones Rushing is exactly the kind of ideologue that the far right has long sought to take over our nation’s courts. Her vision of the Constitution excludes those she disfavors and elevates those she aligns with. She should not be confirmed to a lifetime appointment as a federal circuit court judge.

As opposed to the author’s shocking mischaracterization of “Constitutional” prior to the modern mangling of the establishment clause?

But it’s perfectly ok for the Left to mis-characterize the Establishment Clause, whenever they don’t get their way and run to their supporters on the 9th Circuit?

It is about time.

Obama turned the Fourth Circuit into a cesspool as bad as the Ninth Circuit.

From the quote, I guess she is a strict constitutionalist. Awesome.

The establishment clause states that government shall not establish a religion. If anyone knows the history of the Church of England, they will understand the reasoning behind that clause. If I were a judge, I would challenge anyone bringing a lawsuit which is aimed at preventing religious displays to explain exactly how those displays forced them to become religious. If they cannot make the case that seeing a display on public land is equivalent to forcing them to attend a state directed religious service every Sunday, they have no case.

The left took over the courts and you got abortion on demand, obamacare, the New deal, and so many more leftist causes that are Unconstitutional.

Time to return the favor. The left declared war on this country and if we do not have a hot civil war, we must fight back using the constructs of the federal government.

It appears the extreme far left doesn’t want the far right to take over their courts.
