Venezuela's blackout hell is scheduled for extension
American Thinker ^ | March 11, 2019 | Monica Showalter

The horrific blackout that has engulfed all of Venezuela is not going away any time soon. Today is day four, and there will be more.

New York Times has a good reporter on the case, Anatoly Kurmanaev, and he got pretty close to the bottom of it. He writes:

I went to the heart of Venezuela's transmission system in Guarico to try to find out what's going on with the grid. Here's why partial blackouts are unfortunately likely to persist for a while. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

The blackout situation in Venezuela is expected to continue with no end in sight.

In a report from a major hospital:

In the most important children hospital in Caracas Venezuela, Maduro’s colectivos (gangs) are preventing parents from entering or leaving the place to denounce that their kids are starving and thirsty. Kids are screaming through the windows for help.

People are already starving and now the situation is much worse.

Survivors roam the empty streets looking for mobile signal, food, water, and a plug. Most stores remain closed; they say hundreds have died in public hospitals or at their homes, unable to contact anyone for help; fear has conquered the streets; looting and small protests have been reported across the nation; fires have gotten out of control. Every hour that goes by without electricity, everything gets harder to find, more expensive, scarier and sadder.

This is America’s future if AOC and her ideas gain traction.

Send Ass On Call down there and then invalidate her American passport. See how she loves what she advocates.

North Korea is somewhat similar. I wonder what these countries have in common? Whatever it is, let's not do what they're doing.

When you drive all the competent people out of your country and forget that systems need regular maintenance this is the result. If power isn’t restored soon we may be seeing the final act of this debacle.

I hate these Marxist Mengeles, happy to experiment on people like we’re mice in a lab. And when the experiment fails, and it always fails, they shrug and say “We’ll get it right next time”. While millions suffer and starve.

No phones. No internet. No lights.

Like Robinson Caruso, it's primitive as can be.

And that's socialism.

Venezuela's blackout hell is scheduled for extension

Scheduled? That means: PLANNED. All of the disruptions to the power grid are then part of Maduro's plan to enact martial law and further subjugate his populace. Expect more police/military led oppression and violence.

What caused the Guri failure? Corpoelec union leader Ali Briceño said it was brush fire under the 765 KV trunkline which caused a surge in the system and caused Guri to shut down. There are no skilled operators left there to restart it.

It did happen before. No one is cutting grass or maintaining fire breaks under the trunkline.

What happened? Atlas Shrugged

Betting maduro’s palace isn’t using candles at its banquets.

The ruling elite lacks for nothing, while it scorns the people who are starving. The French had the right idea in 1789.

-—fear has conquered the streets——

now that fear as surfaced, there can be no cure. Even Guido is not safe because he can not dissuade the fear and certainly can not provide electrical power and adequate food.

Like the French revolution where they ate their own, there can be no peace till the killing is all done.

Socialists have taken one of the richest countries in South America to one of the poorest in twenty years.

Think of what they might have accomplished if only "the right people had been in charge".
