I have to agree with you. That’s the mystery...how an engineer (and conservative lass) can come out of a technical college a socialist-leaning kook. They may have good thinking skills on tech, but sure don’t grasp the real world and are willfully choosing to ignore all the empirical data about failure of socialism the world over.

They HAVE to take OTHER classes than science ones!!
And besides; most of their schooling prior to college has been in a vastly overwhelming non-Conservative atmosphere.
