betrayal pure and simple - confirms that we are ruled by a corrupt Uniparty that wants open borders, unfettered illegal immigration.

first betrayal was by McConnell who let this come up to a vote
second betrayal was by these 12 open border senators who have sold out their constituents for cheap labor

I’m with you. Now I know how the average citizen in France felt as their leaders were rolling out the red carpet for Hitler. I bet they placed MINTS ON HIS FRICKIN BED FOR HIM

The great thing is that all these RINOs are being exposed for who they really are, and it won’t make a whit of difference because Trump’s veto will not be overridden. The votes are not there.

This is more of an indictment of the leadership of Mitch McConnell than of Donald Trump.

We all know how Trump plans to play this out. He has the process on his side.

However, Senate Republicans are betraying Mitch McConnell, who begged promised President Trump that the Senate would back him if he signed the spending bill without his requested funding in order to reopen the government.

Trump will ultimately get what he wants. McConnell will be forever undermined by his own caucus, leading up to his reelection campaign next year.

And Trump knows he can never rely on the word of McConnell ever again.

They don’t have the votes in the House to override. Senate is maxed out, too. Are not many more retiring, blue state, etc. Republicans who want to vote in favor of open borders.

The Rat/RINO Uniparty of treason strikes again. THIS is our #1 problem. We no longer have anyone representing us in Washington.

In the House, they were not even close to 2/3rds. Dems only have a 19 seat majority in the House and it was basically a party-line vote. Nowhere near 2/3rds vote.

In the Senate, you would need 67 votes to override a veto. Not going to happen.

Can Trump still veto this?

Yep. They can then try to override the veto. Or they can just let it die. And votes would probably switch for the veto. This was a vote without real teeth. They knew it would be vetoed. We’ll see how they vote if they try to override the veto.

Retiring to Annandale or some other beltway suburb, most likely. Probably never sets foot in his home state again.

If Obama can send immigrants to Minnesota, Trump should send immigrants to the states of these Senators.

The big question that lurks in the shadows:

What’s going to happen when, for whatever the reason, he leaves office?
