Missouri Senate Bans All Federal Gun Control Laws in Proposed Bill
The Sentinel ^ | March 19, 2019 | Max Headroom

Missouri may have just made the most monumental step towards freedom and individual liberty since the signing of the Bill of Rights. In an upcoming vote by Missouri’s state senate, the state is expected to pass a bill that would nullify ALL Federal gun laws and regulations, and make enforcement of those laws by federal officers within the State of Missouri a criminal offense. Republicans control both U.S. Senate seats and more than two-thirds of the seats in both the Missouri House and Senate.

Like it’s predecessor, SB613, Bill SB367 and it’s companion, House Bill HB786, would prevent all state agencies and their employees from enforcing any federal law that infringes the Second Amendment in any way, including gun registrations, fees, fines, licenses and bans. Originally authored in 2014, a former version of the bill was also passed, but vetoed by then Missouri Governor Jay Nixon.

A stipulation of the newly passed bill states:

“All federal acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, and regulations, whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States I and Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, shall be specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.”

For added measure, SB367’s authors went into great detail on what federal laws will be “considered null and void and of no effect.”

(a) Any tax, levy, fee, or stamp imposed on firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition not common to all other goods and services which might reasonably be expected to create a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding...

> I had to laugh. That cracked me up.

Proving that you don’t get it.

You wouldn’t be happy here.

ALMOST EVERYBODY is reporting this incorrectly today.

It is a real bill but it has not been voted on and is not even scheduled for a vote.

Accurate story here:

Wait.. You do realize I don't fit at all in California because i'm the opposite of the politics here. I've given monthly donations to FR since 1997. I remember shaking the hand of Ronald Reagan when he was in California.

I don't understand your line of thinking. How on earth do you think I'm a liberal?

We will likely by a hobby Farm in the south west part of Missouri in some of the most conservative areas.

“I don’t see how the federal government can make any guns laws considering they are forbidden to by the Constitution.”

It is all about interpretation of the Second Amendment, the Commerce Clause etc.

A big part of the problem is that many conservative leaders have accepted the New Deal (eg: Gingrich), and those programs are not Constitutional, either. And...federal drug enforcement within the Several states. It is a bit hard to argue against Obamacare (and the like) when we accept the others. Likewise, gun control which will likely come at some point in the future.

It may be that pro-gun States need to pass/clarify Constitutional Amendments which declare the whole of the citizenry, both sexes, ages 18-99, to be members of the unorganized M, and also create mechanisms to convert these groups to a kind of “State Guard” which cannot be federalized, should the feddies ever try to override these amendments via federal Courts or legislation. I am not a lawyer, so I don’t know how this would be accomplished.

We cannot forget: States with Marriage Amendments in their Constitions, passed with large majorities, have allowed themselves to be forced to do something different by federal Courts.

Of course, if we really want real long term change, the only way is to stop sending our children into the socialist factories aka government schools. Many here don’t seem to want to accept that reality.

I don’t personally know you, and I accept what you say about yourself.

Still be surprised if you like it here. Have you spent any time in MO?

If you’ve been in CA your whole life, I think you’ve been conditioned to many things that are extremely different from here. CA is just so rich in so many ways. How that would connect to more “liberal” voting I don’t know.

No offense please. It wasn’t fair for me to use you as a placeholder for the many Californicans destroying other states.

Only visited Table rock lake area. Looking at houses with my wife. I don't understand why you think I wouldn't like the people there. Everyone we met seems very very nice.

I agree. POTUS said what he had to say about McCain. He needs to now leave it alone.

No state can over rule the federal government - there was a war about this and the state lost

Did the civil war overturn Article 1 Section 8? Or the 9th and 10th amendments? Please share.

I think you should be smart enough to see the difference in public perception between “don’t enforce immigration laws and break up these families” and “don’t enforce gun laws on those evil right wing MAGA deplorable types.”

You and I both know it’s BS, but the sheep are easily scared into attacking us through selective enforcement of the law.

The Feds won’t invade States to stop unconstitutional stances, why would they invade for a stance that is pro-Constitution?

re: “Gun control was not delegated to the Feds in the Constitution so therefore is remanded to the states.”

Water under the bridge; litigate from where we are NOW.

Recall slavery used to be law of the land, and that was “over-turned”.

This is pretty interesting. I think the libs have opened up a whole can of worms with their 'sanctuary city' and the legalization of pot crap. We are in for some 'interesting times' while this stuff works its way through the legal system. Personally, I think the state is on much firmer ground with the referenced legislation given the existence and the clear text of the Second Amendment than they ever were with the marijuana or sanctuary city laws.

Where we are now is facing the complete and total destruction by the Communist One World Order idiots who HATE our INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS and CONSTITUTION which guarantees our sovereignty.

All the experts in the world also said the Earth was Flat but were proved wrong.

Where we are now is to DEFEND AND UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION. They cannot abolish the 2nd Amendment unless we let them. STAND UP AND FIGHT TO SUPPORT The US Constitution.
