For several years The Gateway Pundit has reported on the plight of Sgt. Derrick Miller who sits in prison for life in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Today we are pleased to announce that Sgt. Miller will soon be released from prison!
U.S. Army National Guardsman Sgt. Derrick Miller... from Hagerstown, Maryland, was convicted in July of 2011 for the pre-meditated murder of an Afghan man in 2010.
Sgt. Miller shot and killed an Afghan civilian following the civilian attempting to grab Sgt. Millers weapon during a period of intense questioning. The Afghan civilian was a suspected insurgent that was walking through Sgt. Millers platoon defensive perimeter observing their defensive positions....
Who wants to start a Go Fund Me?
.....on a lighter note, slightly related, good news is that Jack Murtha is still doing hard time in HELL and will be there for eternity, no early release
I have heard that he has had job offers. But let’s wait and see. His family is prepared for the short haul, but he may need more support in months to come.
Yes there is a Go Fund Me page but it is a very low goal of 50k.
Thank you! I missed this ping. How long has he been in prison?
About 8 years. What a travesty. Not being able to see his kids growing up.
btt
I wish he had been pardoned and sooner.
Terrible miscarriage of so-called justice.
They believe Sgt. Miller has been a victim of the Obama administration’s life-threatening Ruies of Engagement that held U.S. soliders to blame in any situation with the slightest ambiguity or politcized sensitivity, and sometimes, no gray area at all.
No question at all thats what took place!
That is spelled "we're." And all without your having produced a single citation link to back up your nasty accusations. You bet we're done.
When did you take that picture of the three of us FREEPING ?
HaHa !! We had some good times there.
LOL! You scamp! We sure did have great times freeping. Miss it and miss you!
Do you have pictures of some of our costumes. I remember you in a beautiful one. Founding father, Jeffersonian look?
I had fun with that long tee shirt. Bikini girl. Darth Cheney outfit with mask and light saber. I had a graduation gown for body cover. Bush outfit and Miss me yet?sign was fun. That was when I had the boot shoe after the accident. Rubber mask would have made it possible to remain unknown with 2 shoes!
Loved the MOABS too.
tgsl and mrs. Trooprally had most of the photos. I wish I had kept more. Good times!!
Probably so.

The Band of MothersI was honored to be a guest on David Bellavias radio show today. David is a Silver Star recipient and author of the riveting book, House To House. David and his Brothers served in Fallujah in 2004 and his book chronicles one of the most savage urban battles in history. It is a MUST read and I promise you will not be able to put it down!
I am grateful to David for his brave service and I am most grateful for his support of his Brothers incarcerated in Leavenworth for their defensive actions on the battlefield. We talk about Sgt Derrick Miller, soon to be released, as well as Michael Behenna, John Hatley, Kelly Stewart, Chief Gallagher, and the injustice they all have suffered:
Please folks, call your representatives and ask them to advocate for the release of John Hatley (Texas, incarcerated for 10 years now in Leavenworth), and Chief Eddie Gallagher (in the brig in California since September 11th of last year.) Eddies family lives in Florida.
Im afraid if the phones dont ring in support of his release, Chief Gallagher will be the next victim heading to Leavenworth. His trial is set for May 28th. He needs to be released to be with his family and prepare for his defense. He has been held in the brig without trial for 6 months now!
Thank you with all my heart for any calls, emails, forwards, letters, twitters, on these brave Americans behalf.
To David Bellavia, it is an honor to know you. Thank You for this interview today and your unwavering support of your Brothers. My family will always be grateful to YOU for all you did to keep our country safe. God Bless You Always.
With A Mothers Heart,

PLEASE NOTE: Pings about Derrick Miller will most likely be many less going forward, but there will be a few as he gets home in May. To add to or drop from this Derrick Miller pinglist, freepmail Albion Wilde
Gosh. Why doesn’t the MSM do a glowing special report on them? Isn’t this human interest?
Isn’t there another officer/soldier who shot a known bomb maker sitting in prison or is this the same one?
