Spot on! I had my eyes opened to that when first reading CS Lewis ‘Surprised by Joy”. The whole system was full with buggery. The older boys would force themselves on the younger etc
Malcolnm Muggeridge was at Oxford in the 1920’s.
He was a grammar school boy, not a public school toff.
In his biography he said he was shocked that the public school types at Oxford considered sodomy as more or less normal behavior.
