Elizabeth Warren slows pace in 2020 POTUS race
Boston Herald ^ | 4-2-19 | Michael Graham

Posted on 04/02/2019 6:46:59 AM PDT by raccoonradio

Wrap your heads around this, Massachusetts Democrats: Your superstar U.S. senator and renowned national champion of progressive populism is currently losing the 2020 POTUS race to an unknown 37-year-old Indiana mayor with no national base and an unpronounceable name.

And he’s got a husband. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)

Yesterday, Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend announced that, despite governing a city the size of Lowell, he’s already raised $7 million — and counting. “We (you) are out-performing expectations at every turn,” Buttigieg said when he tweeted out the news.

When was the last time anyone used the “O”-word to describe the Warren campaign? The same day Mayor Pete was announcing his cash windfall, the Warren campaign was answering questions about their own finance director fleeing the scene. The New York Times broke the story with the headline: “Elizabeth Warren Loses Finance Director as She Struggles in Early Fund-Raising.”

That’s not the only place she’s struggling. In the new Emerson College poll of Iowa caucus-goers, Mayor Pete is in third place at 11 percent and Liz Warren’s in fifth (9 percent.) Five years ago, Warren was a national political celebrity being recruited by MoveOn.org to get into the 2016 presidential race. Five years ago, Mayor Pete was a small-city mayor and couldn’t get recognized in a police line-up.

And Warren, with 100 percent name ID and millions in Senate campaign dollars, can’t keep up with this guy?

Warren’s campaign is drifting toward irrelevancy and she knows it. That’s one reason she jumped on the “Creepy Joe” bandwagon, siding with former Vice President Biden’s accuser. Most of the other candidates stayed mum. Warren can’t afford to.

Then there are the ever-more-extreme policy initiatives she’s pushing. Warren is solidly in the tank for the Green New Deal, despite the fact that a new poll yesterday found that nearly half of New Hampshire voters are unwilling to spend a single penny in higher utility bills to pay for it.

Warren’s big-tech plan to force Apple out of the app business is both economically irrational and a lifestyle assault on Millennial/Gen-Z crowd hooked on their smartphones.

And now, in a desperate bid for attention, Warren’s gone full xenophobe: No foreigners should be able to buy American farmland.

“Iowa has the right idea,” Warren wrote in a newly released policy paper. “It passed a law prohibiting foreign individuals or entities from purchasing farmland for the purpose of farming. I support a national version of that law, and as president, I will use all available tools to restrict foreign ownership of American agriculture companies and farmland.”

If Donald Trump said something like this out loud and in public, we’d be inflicted with 700 hours of cable news commentary about Fuhrer Trump and his “blood and soil” populism. Warren announces she don’t want none o’ them tricky ferriners ownin’ our God-fearin’ American farmland, and you can’t find the story without a Google search.

And that’s the good news. Because the more you pay attention, the more embarrassing Warren gets. This week the House is holding hearings on the Mashpee casino plan that Sen. Warren was pushing so hard last year.

This year? Warren’s got no comment and hasn’t even filed legislation in the Senate. Why? “She’s been waved off,” an industry source tells InsideSources. “Everyone knows it’s her bill, but they [the Mashpees] don’t want her anywhere near it.”

Of course they don’t. If you were working on behalf of a Native American cause, would you?

Elizabeth Warren is a sitting U.S. senator with millions in the bank and plenty of fans in the liberal press, so she’s not going anywhere. She’s going to be in the POTUS race for months to come.

Forgotten, but not gone.

She’ll be among the first to drop out, likely will retire or be retired when she comes up for re-election. She’s a walking embarrassment and the state’s voters will eventually tire of her.

ComanChe has already hit the Happy Hunting Grounds. She’s finished.

It’s narrowing already to Dinobernie, Biteme, Betamale, and Kampuchea Harris.

My guess is that Biteme is pretty much gone after the women come forward-—Tom Paine on Twitter says he has a ton more of more damaging stuff in this vein he is holding back-—and that it will be Dinobernie vs. Kampuchea and Betamale.

Dinobernie has a massive advantage over Kampuchea: he has a giant organization and he can raise more money. Betamale can raise money, but doesn’t have the org-—or the sympathy from 2016 of getting screwed the way Dinobernie does.

Assuming each of the three gets over the 15% min in the primaries, I think you’ll see Dinobernie getting the #2 spot when he doesn’t win the primary outright, while Betamale and Kampuchea will either get #1 or #3, thus badly dividing their delegates.

I look for Dinobernie to be the DemoKKKrat nominee, and be crushed by Trump by 320-340 electoral votes.

Oh yes there is! And I doubt that the average American Voter will pull the handle for a practicing homosexual.

Princess Gray Beaver probably has to spend time fixing her special possum souffle. She apparently likes to cook as evidenced by her cooking video.

I agree on the POTUS run but not the Senate gig.
She’ll be like DiFi or one of those other Dem Methuselah types. It’s too gravy of a deal to let go of.

Remember that picture of Putin snickering?

Imagine how much snickering he’d be doing after sitting opposite Buttgieg and having his wife hang out with Buttgieg’s husband.

The LGBT wing has always been among the biggest donors in the RAT Party. Now they have an opportunity to vote for one of their own. No, I don’t think Mayor Pete will win the nomination, but he’s gonna force the eventual Democrat nominee to kowtow even more to the LGBT crowd! Mayor Pete, Creepy Uncle Joe, Fauxahontas, Comrade Bernie and Spartacus. What a damn circus the RAT presidential race is turning into, and they haven’t had their first debates yet!

“Imagine how much snickering he’d be doing after sitting opposite Buttgieg and having his wife hang out with Buttgieg’s husband.”

Yes, what “wonderful optics!” I don’t have a problem with people who have a different sexual orientation. I have a sister-in-law who divorced her husband and now lives with a woman. I still love her and like her partner. And I have a 78 year old HS classmate who has been married to his partner for decades and they have a very dedicated relationship. All that said, I don’t think that trying to make their lifestyles “mainstream,” as the more radical of their number are wont to do, will ever fly in national politics.

Lets think on this one:
Buttplug-AOC 2020

AOC will be 30 by 2020 and thus qualified to be VP
Boy could we have fun with this one!
