There are alternate shipping methods other
than ground or rail transport. Mexico has
41 sea ports, and 51 commercial airports.

Just refuse admission from any country south of the USA.

Kalergi in action,

Don’t recall the source of the moment.

Closing borders also included closing ports. It ended up costing arouns 1,000 jobs just in our small town. Businesses just couldn’t get parts and materials they needed for manufacturing.

The mexico imports include a lot more than avacados. And yes, the impact would be very severe to us. A lot of grocery store shelving would be bare.

For those who are prepped, it’s no big deal, but it’s hard to store fresh produce, and gardens aren’t in yet.

It’s not the corporate losses Trump is concerned with. It’s our ability to have that cup of coffee, that salad or steak. We import a lot of our beef from Argentina. The economic crisis to the average Joe would be severe cost rising for essentials.

The economic impact of massive layoffs, because manufacturers need parts hits the average person.

And finally, Trump et al have taken severe financial hits having to defend themselves from false accusations. And trump had to divest himself of business interests. He more than likely doesn’t have nearly what he did have going into that job.

And congress wants to take that, too!

It’s hard to say what he can absorb financially at this point.

I’m sure he has his reasons for backing off. He doesn’t do anything to harm us. However, it certainly demonstrates the strong need for good border security.

I wonder why some people, those who decry the media’s outrageous lies are so quick to believe ANYTHING NEGATIVE which they print regarding Trump’s intended actions (or inaction as in this case)?

I just scanned the article, and it doesn’t seem to provide any direct quote from POTUS that he’s stepping back from his threats to close the border! Did I miss it??

There are some here.......the usual suspects......who immediately turn on the President !.........I find it disgusting and disloyal

Does anyone even care he has persuaded the Chinese to stop the flow of the drug, Fentanyl, as used illegally
That is huge!

My good mercy, we should all thank God for this man instead of picking him apart.

You absolutely can blame the courts for doing everything they can to stop Trump. He’s the commander in chief of the military. He wanted to ban trannies from enlisting. A black-robed tyrant said no. Instead of telling the tyrant to go pound sand, he let the supreme court tell the lower tyrant to back off.

If he didn’t, what would the commies do? What would and could they do now? Would the republicant’s hold firm, or would they cave like they always do?

The US CoC is a vile lobby that pays Reps and Sens in Congress to ensure low paid laborers (mostly illegals) are allowed in America.

Wish there was a way to prohibit the CoC from interfering in politics. They are evil.

Trump letting issues go from district and circuit courts to the US supreme court isn’t entirely useless. It tells them that yes, the president can indeed perform this action, and there’s nothing you can do to stop him.

Deputize U S. citizens to serve as a volunteer militia. Give them blanket immunity from arrest , in the performance of their militia duties and mission . Let old guys volunteer .

If you watch the video from Tuesday night’s speech, Trump did say he has talked to others and Mexico is doing something so will let go as is. He did say he HAD wanted to close the border.

MSN? Seriously? Read the dam article. Talk about a fake news title!

Trump has not backed off. He called out Mexico and Mexico acted. We’ll see if Mexico delivers. PDJT WILL close the border if necessary.

I support him 100%.

Did I miss the “stepping back?”

I wonder if this is the Steve that the President calls on in the gaggles.

If it is, this guy is stone deaf.

The Chamber of Commerce is a globalist org. They are not America’s friend.

It needs to be pointed out that most all of its members are not either. It is long past time conservatives gave up the “muh corporation” stance. We will survive with less avocados.
