Casting all your care upon Him;

Holy Lord,

Your desire for us is that we be anxious about nothing, and yet we confess that we live in a time and place where there is much that disturbs our peace. Help us, Father, to do as You have taught us---to cast our cares upon You, for You care for us. You show us that even the flowers of the field have no concerns because You care for them. How much more do You care for Your beloved children! Lord, our hope is built on the blood of Jesus, His righteousness, and His finished work. We cannot fix the problems of this world, but we can bring them to You and lay them at Your feet. And we can listen to the voice of the Spirit telling us how you want us to be involved in making this world a better place. What a blessing it is to know that You care for us, Lord.

We are grateful that You love and guide our President, Lord. He cannot survive carrying the burdens of this country upon his own shoulders. Thank You, Lord, that You show him the way to follow Your will and to cast his cares upon You. You are his avenger as well, and we thank You for defending him against all the lies of the enemy. Cover him with Your feathers and under Your wings may he safely trust. Remind him that he is the head and not the tail---above only and not beneath. He is blessed in the city and blessed in the field. May Your favor continue to rest upon him and may You bless the work of his hands.

Surely You care for our military men and women, our border patrols, and our police as well. We pray that You preserve their going out and their coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore. Father, we confess that You hear our prayers in the day of trouble on behalf of our them all, and that the Name of the God of Jacob defends them. You send help and strength to them, supplying all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Thank You for being the One True Mediator Who ever lives to make intercession for us all. Be exalted, O Lord, in Your own strength: so will we sing and praise Your power.

Lord, we are thankful that You live; and we bless You for being our Rock. May the God of our salvation be exalted both now and evermore. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Please pray for Chase Reynolds, a Bible Translator serving the Yetfa people in Papua, Indonesia. He was bitten by a snake, believed to be poisonous, while helping a neighbor.

Sentani, Papua, the town where Chase lives was recently inundated with incredible flooding. Many houses were swept away. Other homes were filled with mud. Chase was helping a neighbor dig our from this flooding when the snake bit him. Chase is married to Kelli, and they have three wonderful boys.

This is the last update from Kelli,
"Hey guys! Thank you for praying! We didn't get much sleep at all and it's now 6:41am. We are waiting on permission for the evac plane to land here on island. MAF will fly us to the southern part of the island and their plane will meet us and take us from there. They will have a doc and nurse on board, so our nurses will come on back to Sentani once we leave. We'll be going to Mater Private Hospital in Brisbane. It's actually about 30 minutes from some friends of ours! Only God could do that!!!"

I'll keep y'all updated as I get word. I work with Chase and Kelli and last year had their oldest son in my class.
