For the third year in a row President Donald Trump is shunning the annual White House Correspondents Dinner for a campaign rally, his first since the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The president will rally with supporters in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for what his re-election campaign says is his 18th rally overall in the state since he announced his first presidential bid in June 2015.
**SNIP**
President Trump looks forward to sharing the successes of his administration with the great people of Wisconsin, Michael Glassner, the chief operating officer of Trump's re-election campaign wrote in a statement released earlier this month announcing the rally. Under President Trumps leadership, paychecks are now growing twice as fast for those in the bottom half of the income spectrum. Unemployment has hit generational lows, and the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement will open Canadian dairy markets to farmers all across Wisconsin."

Correspondence dinner is a cry fest
My president has the balls of a brass monkey, love it!
I heard the correspondents dinner will not have a comedian this year. What, no idiot “comedian” to make abortion jokes?
Amazing, theres no pretense anymore. The press is simply part of the opposition when a republican is POTUS.
Brat dinners....
Nothing finer!
For those FReepers who want to avoid Yahoo News, always a good idea, here is the original article from ABC News:
That’s fine. I use DuckDuckGo. I git what I git. I usually go with the best headline.
As self-destructive as the Dems have been for 3+ years, it is a mistake to become complacent.
With that written, it’s fun to think about the unexpected. Here’s one of my predictions — Trump aims to win not only the electoral college but also the popular vote, meaning > 50.001% of the national vote.
He was so relatively under-resourced in 2016 that he had to punt completely on CA, the northeast and Chicago. But he will have an amazing war chest this time around — amazing — and I think some of it will go toward states that he has no chance of winning. I predict a quiet campaign throughout in CA/Northeast/Chicago, with visits early (while the Dems are beating themselves up in the primaries) and late (assuming that he is ahead in the polls). The aim is to peel off some significant votes for himself, but also to: 1) bolster Republican House candidates in those states’ swing districts; 2) re-start those states’ Republican Parties, shaping them in his image; and 3) make the Dems spend money in those states.
On the latter point, It will be a lot easier for Trump to swing 1 million votes in southern CA than for Biden or whoever to swing 1 million votes across WI, IA, KS and the Dakotas. Since the Dems have made a huge issue out of the popular vote, they really must contest any effort by Trump to pick up sheer numbers. And this will be far costlier to them than to Trump.
I also predict that the President spends a lot of time in both Wisconsin and Minnesota, aiming to win both.

EEE here reporting live, I live here:
Very enthusiastic crowd. Lots of MAGA hats around, many people holding signs with a particular letter on it. All races of people. Just outstanding vibe.
Do we have a FReeper Live Thread on tonights event yet?
We usually enjoy the rally together on the Trump Train Family Thread.

This should be an interesting rally.
Will watch it.
Glad you got a chance to go.
Hope he comes to Georgia on the trail.
The trail to victory!
No, it’s a bitch fest. Bitch about Trump out in the open and in tux, that’s it
Trump goes to the MIDWEST while the Deep State/Media yucks it up in DC.
Not sure who’s running the show now for Trump’s campaign, but our side could use a few hundred more like him [and trust me, it’s a him, if Trump is actually in Wisconsin].

“campaign” rally?
I want to be there. Darn lucky cheese heads!
