We should repatriate them same day to avoid this.

Infections can become systemic, and eventually pass into and manifest inside of brain tissue.
Having had many systemic infections spread to my kidneys, once it gets into an organ, it can be very difficult to get rid if depending on the type of infection, because they don’t mention whether it was fungal, viral, or bacterial. Each require different treatments, and come with their own set of challenges.
