The New York Times obtained 10 years of Donald Trumps tax documents from his federal income tax returns for the years 1985 1994.
To be clear, The Times did not obtain Trumps actual tax returns, rather they obtained printouts from his IRS transcripts with numbers from his tax form, 1040, from an individual who had legal access to them.....
At first glance, it is being reported that Donald Trump core businesses (hotels, apartment buildings and casinos) took a $1.17 billion loss. Big deal, hes in the real estate business which fluctuates all the time.
The Times also said that Trump didnt pay federal income taxes for 8-10 years of course this is normal for business owners as they can roll their losses over (net operating loss), but the stupid liberals dont understand this concept and will surely use it to hammer Trump.

I don’t believe they got them....I suspect they had them created (seriously)...the Times continues to put out there faked up stories.
My mother carried losses from a crashed investment for years afterward. (Then her money all went to pay for the joys of having Alzheimers.)
By the Lefts standard, she must be a band person.
If the answer was yes to question number 2, then taxes were paid.
bad person
From what many of us recently learned, a President can obtain the tax return of any person
Does anyone here think that Lois Lerner didn’t provide Obama with their request for Trumps returns within about 24 hours of Trump questioning Little Barry Soetoros birth certificate?
The Little Kenyan Boy would have had “legal access” to those documents.
Also coincides with the timeline for what we are now hearing about the “spying” that may have actually started in 2012.
It could have been Ivana, his ex-wife. If they filed jointly she would have access to those returns.
Nope...never happen!
> “from someone who had legal access to them”
I can’t stand these people. Indeed they must see what it’s like to spend serious time in prison.

Or they are forged in order to force the President’s staff to publish the valid documents to refute the lies. UI don’t think our President was born yesterday. That one point seven billion dollar loss comes close to Senator Dirksen’s famous observation though.
The NYT is used to being protected by laws regarding publishing leaked classified informaton, but publishing leaked tax records from a private citizen (even when the citizen later becomes a politician) is quite another matter legally.
Also, this sounds like a rehash of a story the NYT ran with three years ago that went nowhere.
You bet or possibly worse.
Shouldn’t this be in chat?
No legal difference between publishing Clinton’s emails and printing illegally obtained tax returns. But in both cases, the person doing the leaking deserves to go to jail. Morally...Clinton’s emails revealed wrongdoing in a presidential candidate. If Trump’s tax returns revealed the same thing, then I’d support their being published.
But Trump gets audited ALL THE TIME. If he was cheating, the IRS would have already been all over him. And honestly, not one person in a hundred could read his tax returns and understand them. I couldn’t, and I used to do taxes professionally. But I knew my limits...
There are a few crimes that have no statute of limitations. Murder, kidnapping, treason, and defrauding the IRS.
Sue the living crap outta them!!!’n
