About 3 decades ago they would have been in an institution for their safety and ours.

Then the liberals closed many if not most of the institutions that housed, fed and cared for these losers in life.

Then, they released them, and the insane went to the streets to do what you noted.

We are beginning to see secure and locked sharp drop offs containers outside of hospitals and medical clinics here in Californicator land. Many have had these locked sharps containers inside hospitals and clinics for at least a year.
They look like the sturdy blue mail drop off boxes.

Yeah, one of the big grocery chains in our area announced they were going to start putting those needle/drug drop boxes in by their pharmacies as well. To me, that is just another step on the path of normalizing and trying to civilize behavior which is neither normal nor civilized.

We are seriously thinking about subscribing to one of these delivery services like Instacart so we go out in public that much less and have fewer opportunities to encounter these savages
