Your response is way too intelligent!

“Simplistic answer’” because it is simple (maybe even for you).

It IS Islam v. Everyone else.

Ever heard of the Koran or don’t you think they believe what their holy book says?
A ‘moderate’ Muslim still wants universal sharia (and maybe only wants extremist Muslims to cut you head off.)

OK, explain your ‘neocon’ conspiracy?

So there was a suicide attack on U.S. soldiers that were supposed to leave Syria months ago?

Wake me up when this makes any sense.

*** I’m beginning to wonder about all these attacks on Bolton on Free Republic. I know there’s a suspition of him being a warmonger..... I suspect some fake people out there.***

It isn’t a suspicion if it’s true. Pompeo, Abrams, Bolton are all Warmongers. Bolton is on record stating it is okay to lie re: National Security. His idea of National Security, unfortunately extends to neocon war making.

I’ve been on FR seventeen years longer than you. Been to marches, protests, lunches, and get together with JimRob, and other FReepers. I am not a “fake” person.

I am a real person sick of all these perpetual wars for the MIC neocons at the cost of thousands of lives lost by Americans, and those we set our sites on.

I am reading an interesting critique of CIA by a former agent. He says the big problem was that we stopped having informants on the ground. We stopped trying to recruit them, and have been relying on stay at home office pencil pushers and analysts who have no one with on the scene details to analyze.

We shouldn’t be in the middle east at all.

The guy went right to the top of my sh!t list in the 1990s when he was clamoring for U.S. military action against Serbia on behalf of the radical Islamic separatists in Kosovo. “Patriotism,” my ass. He’s bought and owned by Sunni Muslims in the Saudi royal family.

I guess then we just have a difference of opinion. I respect yours. I’m just paranoid about subversive posts by leftists. I don’t want any more wars. My son already fought there. But the Iranians were using those nasty directed roadside bombs and IF they are using them again then we should stomp the shiite outta them for payback. I’m not talking all out war and I know that provocation can lead to that. But a couple of JDAMS would be suffice.

“Know what’s in Syria..? SAND AND DEATH”

—Donald Trump

Hey, what AMERICAN interests are there?

It’s one of the FOUR wars we’re in, right now.

RIDICULOUS.

Did it ever occur to you to ask yourself why the U.S.
has spent the last three decades fighting stupid wars in the Middle East that all seem to primarily benefit members of the Saudi royal family who happen to be real estate development partners of the Bush family?

Sorry, we saved Christians over there, Bammy and Boy Jorge left ‘em in a lurch. The Christians have been there for 2,000 years, we’ve got some responsibility, turn and run on our Christian brothers? Shameful.

My initial reaction to Bolton’s appointment to the Trump administration is the only thing posted on my FR profile page:

I voted for Donald Trump because I was tired of Ivy League globalist pr!cks running this nation’s foreign policy. Anyone who still thinks the invasion of Iraq was a good idea shouldn’t even be allowed to clean the toilets in the White House.

If we really wanted to protect Christians over there, we would have left Saddam Hussein and Bashar al-Assad alone.

And we’d leave Iran alone, too ... and look for opportunities to topple governments in countries that outlaw Christianity — like SAUDI ARABIA.

We're over there because of Christians and Kurds who fought and put down ISIS with our air support, ISIS as evil as the Nazis if not as powerful in scope. And definitely, we've had ISIS in Canada, in the USA and in Europe and about everywhere else, we busted the Caliphate

Spare me the same ol' broken record on interventionalism, we are doing this for the Christians in the area and it's been successful. We don't need to cut bait and run as Obama did in 2011. We didn't do it all but we helped screw up that situation and Trump has fixed this.

I sure as heck didn't vote for Trump to abandon Christians who have been there for 2,000 years. Have a clue as to what's happened over there?

Call people neo-cons, gloabalists or whatever, we've had some moral responsibility too.

Bush is not included in the “We”. He made the decision, not “we”. He mismanaged the war.

Yeah, Assad’s protected Christians. That’s a joke. That’s why they got slaughtered under him before the US came in there in any way.

*** My son already fought there. ***

Two people I know will not ever be whole again after IED encounters. 27 surgeries, and forever sequestered from family, friends, society, not because of his physical injuries, but because he is a danger to the safety of others.

The other is still undergoing surgeries..ten years after his guts were literally blown out, his back broken in three places, His arm torn from his shoulder. He was a medic. The pain when he remembers “his guys” who died in his arms is beyond hell.

A third, I don’t mention suffered traumatic brain injury. He has testified before Congress. He suffers debilitating headaches, seizures, bouts of uncontrolled rage which lead to physical violence.

Thank your lucky stars your child was spared.

You’re going to have to post some evidence there, dude. You can’t blame the Syrian government for the slaughter of Christians in areas of the country where U.S.-backed ISIS militants “freedom fighters” had wrested control from the government.
