Feasting on Israel By Ari Bussel When will we be able to dance on the ruins of the Jewish State? It has been too long in the planning, time to reap the benefits of our hard work! With Tunisia, Egypt and Libya now part of the Iranian Axis, shall anyone wager a bet, who will be next to fall into extremist Islamic hands: Israel or Syria? Or perhaps a tie, with both falling simultaneously? “Democracy,” chanted the multitudes in a frenzied cry. “Freedom” whispered so many with hope glistening in their eyes. “Change” pronounced the American President as he pushed...

Would you trust a person who was fired from his job for lying? Would you trust someone who linked to someone who did not think bin Laden was "brought to justice" when he was killed? Would you trust a who writes, "Israel is indeed a country founded on a racist premise and based on massive ethnic cleansing, and where racial discrimination is built in to the legal fabric of the country." If so, then you trust Craig Murray. And (go figure), he has been ranting about how there is a vast right-wing conspiracy throughout the world. Specifically, he believes there...

A bomb blast has hit the Norwegian capital Oslo, killing at least seven people - amid reports of fatalities after a gunman attacked a nearby children's camp. Police said there were "one or more powerful explosions in the government building in Oslo". Meanwhile, shots were fired by a person reportedly dressed as a police officer at a youth meeting of the ruling Labour Party in Utoya - an island on the outskirts near the capital. Norwegian police said they fear there may also be explosives on Utoya island. As many as 700 people were believed to be taking part in...

An eyewitness tells Norwegian broadcaster NRK that he saw 20 to 25 bodies at the youth camp where a gunman dressed in a police uniform opened fire. Andre Scheie says he saw bodies on the shore of the Utoya island where the youth wing of the Labor Party was holding a summer camp for hundreds of youths. Scheie said Friday: "There are very many dead by the shore ... there are about 20-25 dead." He also said he saw dead people in the water.

OSLO, Norway (AP) — A Norwegian prosecutor has filed terror charges against an Iraqi-born cleric for threatening Norwegian politicians with death if he's deported from the Nordic country.

(snip) 2.28am An Oslo caller to BBC News has said a youth camp run by the Labour Party has been attacked by gunmen, just outside of the city. 2.12am AP reports police have sealed off TV2's offices and are investigating a suspicious package. There are also widespread reports of shots fired in an attack on a children's summer camp, also in Norway. There is no further information at this stage and it is not known if the attack is connected to the bombing. (snip)

The explosion that rocked a Norwegian government building today was result of a massive vehicle bomb, according to U.S. government sources on the scene. Norwegian news reported one person died and several were injured in the apparent attack. The prime minister, whose office is in the building, survived the blast, a government spokesperson told The Associated Press. Pictures, posted on Twitter, show several buildings with windows blown out. Multiple tweets described people bleeding in the streets. No group has publicly taken responsibility for the blast and a U.S. counter-terrorism official said there is no indication yet of motive or suspects....

Bill Gertz has an article running in this morning’s Washington Times, “Financial terrorism suspected in ’08 economic crash,” on a report prepared by the Department of Defense in June 2009. In the report, financial analyst Kevin Freeman argues that the 2008 economic crisis was assisted by outside forces. What the study (which we are providing a copy of exclusively here at PJ Tatler at the conclusion of this post) investigates is how outside forces could have helped things along by manipulating oil prices, naked short selling of U.S. financial firms (e.g. Bear Stearns), and attacking the U.S. dollar. Gertz reports:...

On Chris Matthews Democrat Strategist and Former Clinton aide, Mark Penn suggests the unthinkable. Penn believes that President Barry Hussein Soetoro has damaged his presidency so badly that the president needs a terrorist attack the likes of the Oklahoma City bombing to distract the American people’s dissatisfaction with him. Wait a minute could Penn be intimating that the Oklahoma City bombing, first of all, saved the Clinton presidency and secondly that the bombing was a manufactured event staged by Democrat operatives to save the Clinton presidency? Yesterday, the U.S. Army convened an Article 32 hearing – the military’s version of a preliminary hearing – to investigate charges made against Major Nidal Hasan and stemming from the November 5, 2009 massacre at Fort Hood, Texas. Hasan currently faces one charge and 13 specifications of premeditated murder in violation of Article 118 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) and one charge and 32 specifications of attempted murder in violation of Article 80 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Colonel James Pohl, an experienced Army judge advocate who, in January 2009, was appointed as the Chief...

They were former classmates at a New York high school, both on a mission to join the Taliban and fight U.S. forces in Afghanistan. But when Zarein Ahmedzay and Najibullah Zazi arrived in Pakistan in the summer of 2008, two high-ranking al-Qaida operatives gave them another set of marching orders. "They told us we would be more useful if we returned to New York City ... to conduct operations," Ahmedzay said Friday in a guilty plea that offered more chilling details of a foiled plot attack on the New York City subways last fall. Asked by a judge in federal...

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday he made the decision to charge the Christmas Day terror suspect in the civilian system with no objection from all the other relevant departments of the government. In a letter to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, the attorney general wrote that the FBI told its partners in the intelligence community on Christmas Day and again the next day that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab would be charged criminally.

WASHINGTON — Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a jetliner bound for Detroit on Dec. 25, started talking to investigators after two of his family members arrived in the United States and helped earn his cooperation, a senior administration official said Tuesday evening. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab Mr. Abdulmutallab, 23, began speaking to F.B.I. agents last week in Detroit and has not stopped, two government officials said. The officials declined to disclose what information was obtained from him, but said it was aiding in the investigation of the attempted terrorist attack. “With the family, the...

WASHINGTON — U.S. officials said a Northwest Airlines passenger from Nigeria said he was acting on behalf of al-Qaida when he tried to blow up a flight Friday as it landed in Detroit. And a White House official called the Christmas incident an attempted act of terrorism. Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., identified the suspect as Abdul Mudallad. King said the flight began in Nigeria and went through Amsterdam en route to Detroit. One of the U.S. intelligence officials said the explosive device was a mix of powder and liquid. It failed when the passenger tried to detonate it. The passenger...

It only took a public thrashing to get Obama and pals to figure out that hey, maybe we want to get this Christmas Day Bomber to cooperate after all: The Nigerian man accused of trying to use a bomb hidden in his underwear to bring down a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas Day has been cooperating with investigators since last week, discussing his contacts in Yemen and providing intelligence in multiple terrorism investigations, officials said Tuesday. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s cooperation could prove to be a national security victory and a political vindication for President Barack Obama, who has been under fire...

After being embarrassed by a report on the breakdown of counterterrorism efforts before Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab boarded a Northwest flight in Amsterdam for Detroit and a series of Congressional appearances that demonstrated a lack of communication in the decision to treat the terrorist as a criminal rather than an enemy at war, the White House has begun to push back. Citing unnamed “officials,” the AP reports that the FBI and the CIA have begun to get information from Abdulmutallab despite having clammed up after getting Mirandized. The key, they claim, was to get his family involved in breaking his resistance:...

WASHINGTON — America’s top intelligence official told lawmakers on Tuesday that he was “highly certain” that Al Qaeda or one of its affiliates would attempt a large-scale attack on American soil within the next six months. The assessment by Dennis C. Blair, the director of national intelligence, was much starker than his view last year, when he emphasized the considerable progress in the campaign to debilitate Al Qaeda and said that the global economic meltdown, rather than the prospect of a major terrorist attack, was the “primary near-term security concern of the United States.” Citing a recent wave of terrorist...

Britain is facing a new Al Qaeda terror threat from suicide ‘body bombers’ with explosives surgically inserted inside them. Until now, terrorists have attacked airlines, Underground trains and buses by secreting bombs in bags, shoes or underwear to avoid detection. But an operation by MI5 has uncovered evidence that Al Qaeda is planning a new stage in its terror campaign by inserting ‘surgical bombs’ inside people for the first time.

Here is video of former Nightline Anchor Ted Koppel telling the BBC that the attempted terror attack on Christmas Day has been an "absolute triumph for Al-Qaeda." Koppel believes there has been a terrible "over-reaction" to the attempt, which is exactly what Al-Qaeda wants. Koppel said Obama's initial reaction to low-key it following the attack "was the right one." But Koppel said Obama was pushed into a stronger reaction by media and public expectations. Koppel's comments are clearly his way of trying to defend Obama's initial reaction to the attempted attack and help him to fend off criticism. Somehow I...

Here is video of a passenger on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 telling about the heroic effort of another passenger to stop a terrorist on board to keep him from completing his attempt to blow up the airplane. A young man climbed over passengers to get to the Nigerian terrorist to stop him. Reports indicate the terrorist was burned badly on his legs, where he had strapped the explosive device. The heroic passenger was also burned in subduing the attacker: An attempted terrorist attack on a Christmas Day flight began with a pop and a puff of smoke - sending passengers...

Here is a video report on what the White House has confirmed as an attempted "terrorist attack" aboard a Northwest Airlines flight that was about to land in Detroit. A Nigerian national sought to ignite an explosive device aboard the plane, and was burned in the attempt: A male passenger on an international flight bound for Detroit Friday tried to blow up the plane with an explosive device in an incident that the White House is labeling an attempted act of terrorism. Several people were hurt on the plane, which had Delta markings, but was listed as Northwest Flight 253....

Sgt. Asan Akbar, a Muslim American soldier with the 326th Engineer Battalion, had an "attitude problem." According to his superiors and acquaintances, Akbar's attitude was bitterly anti-American and staunchly pro-Muslim. So how did this devout follower of the so-called Religion of Peace work out his attitudinal problems last weekend? By lobbing hand grenades and aiming his M-4 automatic rifle into three tents filled with sleeping commanding officers at the 101st Airborne Division's 1st Brigade operations center in Kuwait. Naturally, apologists for Islam-gone-awry are hard at work dismissing this traitorous act of murder as an "isolated, individual act and not an...

Homeland Security: Provisions of the law that spared New York another 9/11 are set to expire Dec. 31. So why do Democrats want to gut this law and remove the immunity telecom companies have for helping protect America? To borrow a British expression from World War II, it was a very near thing. The capture, arrest and indictment of 24-year-old Afghan immigrant Najubullah Zazi before he could set off bombs made from store-bought chemicals prevented a tragedy of potentially devastating proportions. It wouldn't have happened if the critics of Patriot Act had their way. The capture of Zazi was made...

DENVER – An Afghan immigrant wanted to carry out a massive New York City terror attack involving hydrogen peroxide bombs on commuter trains to coincide with the Sept. 11 anniversary before federal authorities foiled the plan, a U.S. prosecutor said Friday. U.S. prosecutor Tim Neff told a federal judge in Denver that Najibullah Zazi "was intent on being in New York on 9/11" for a possible terror attack. "The defendant was in the throes of making a bomb and attempting to perfect his formulation," Neff said. He called the evidence a "chilling, disturbing sequence of events." Neff ordered Zazi, a...

Nuclear and biological terrorism is the emerging threat the next US President should focus on, the US security chief has told Sky News. In an exclusive interview, homeland security secretary Michael Chertoff said sources of radioactive and biological materials must be properly secured "at all costs". He warned terrorists are actively seeking to acquire such materials. Mr Chertoff said he did not think a weapon of mass destruction, like a biological or nuclear bomb, was a danger that could be just months away. But he warned: "It may be years away and we can't afford to waste this time waiting...

The latest audio message from al-Qaeda, reportedly from Osama bin Laden himself, is only the most recent confirmation that the jihadist threat to the West remains real and deadly serious. But the fact that it could take the form of nuclear terrorism should be most worrying to citizens and policy makers alike. Where a nuclear attack once may have been beyond the capacities of stateless terrorists, that is no longer the case. One need only consider Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM), mastermind of 9/11 and chief operating officer of al-Qaeda, who revealed under intensive interrogation -- including the much-maligned tactic of...

Terror threat shuts down Asian summit: Philippine sources CEBU, Philippines (AFP) - The Philippines abruptly called off a high-profile summit of Asian leaders, blaming a looming tropical storm even as foreign ministry sources said terror threats were the reason. The cancellation came a day after six nations including the United States issued a warning for Cebu, the resort island hosting the summit, due to threats of a terrorist strike. Australia said attack plans were in the "final stages." Foreign ministers from across Asia and other top diplomats were racing late Friday to sign a series of planned agreements before leaving...

Al-QAEDA is determined to acquire the technology to carry out a nuclear attack on the West, a senior Foreign Office official warned yesterday. She said that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network was trawling the world for the materials and know-how to mount an attack using nuclear, chemical or biological weapons. The latest warning echoes the remarks last week of the MI5 director-general, Dame Eliza Manningham-Buller, that future terror attacks in Britain could involve weapons of mass destruction. Asked if she had any doubt that al-Qaeda wanted to obtain the materials to carry out a nuclear attack on the West, the Foreign...

A group of alleged terrorists arrested in London in August planned to blow up airliners over U.S. cities to maximize casualties, rather than over the Atlantic Ocean as many intelligence officials originally thought, according to recent remarks by a senior FBI official. The comments by Mark Mershon, head of the FBI's New York field office, indicate that U.S. and British intelligence officials now think that the airliner plot was aimed at maximizing the potential loss of life and economic impact. "The plan was bring them down over U.S. cities, not over the ocean," Mershon said Oct. 24 at the Infosecurity...

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Hundreds of Iraqi policemen fell sick from poisoning Sunday at a base in southern Iraq after the evening meal breaking their daily Ramadan fast, and officials said they were investigating whether the poisoning was intentional. An official with the Environment Ministry said 11 policemen had died. However, the governor of Wasit province — where the poisoning took place — denied any deaths, though he said some of the victims were in critical condition. There was no immediate explanation for the contradictory reports. Some of the policemen began bleeding from the ears and nose after the meal, said...

AL-QAEDA plotted to murder the entire Australian cricket team in their change rooms during last year's Ashes tour of Britain using sarin nerve gas sprayed by the men who bombed the London Underground. A friend of one of the four bombers who killed 52 people when they bombed trains and buses in the British capital on July 7 last year told The Sunday Times newspaper that the al-Qaeda cell was initially ordered to kill the England and Australian cricket teams during the Edgbaston Test in Birmingham. The claim was made by a family friend of bus bomber Hasib Hussain, who...

Senior Syrian government official have accused the US of being behind Tuesday's assault on its own embassy in downtown Damascus. A Baath party official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told WorldNetDaily, "We in the government are 100 percent sure America was behind this attack, which is not the same as other attacks by Islamic groups." He explained, "Only the Americans can succeed in carrying out an attack just 200 meters from President [Bashar] Assad's residence in the most heavily guarded section of Syria." The official charged that Washington had orchestrated the attack to "prove Syria is filled with terrorists...

The first hint of calamity came in deceptively routine form: a small fire in a rented Carson warehouse, apparently sparked by welders working on a lunch truck. But an investigation of that blaze turned up alarming details: respirators, a suspicious hookup on the truck, large sacks of rice flour. Within weeks, those puzzling discoveries would plunge Los Angeles into a whirlwind as a routine fire probe rapidly spun into an international investigation, uncovering a terrorist weapons lab in Mexico and a plan to douse the nation's second-largest city with anthrax and ricin. By the 40th day of the crisis, panic-stricken...

Five years after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the US government remains unprepared for a nuclear terrorist threat, a nuclear nonproliferation group alleges in a report released Thursday. Physicians for Social Responsibility, an advocacy and policy group that focuses on stopping nuclear proliferation and protecting the environment, said that as many as 52,000 people could die in a nuclear bomb set off on a ship in the port of new York. Another 238,000 people would be exposed to direct radiation. The group analyzed three possible scenarios, the nuclear bomb explosion in the New York City port, a dirty bomb...

In a nutshell, Judge Taylor claimed that under our Constitution, Hitchens’ right to never have his overseas telephone calls intercepted without a warrant trumps the right of Americans not to be blown to smithereens. The Constitution, however, says no such thing. The truth is, Democratic Presidents long before Bush conducted warrantless electronic surveillance for national security reasons—and every time the issue was reviewed by a federal appellate court, the court ruled for the President. In 2002, the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review said: “The Truong court, as did all other courts to have decided the issue, held that...
