AG William Barr determined to unravel truth behind Russia lie

Calling the CBS News interview with AG Barr a bombshell doesn’t do it justice. The interview is chock-full of one explosive comment after another about special counsel Robert Mueller, the media and Barr’s own investigation of the investigators:

<><>“It’s hard to read some of the [FBI] texts and not feel that there was gross bias at work, and they’re appalling.”

<><>“The use of foreign-intelligence capabilities and counterintelligence capabilities against an American political campaign to me is unprecedented and it’s a serious red line that’s been crossed.”

<><>“The media reaction is strange. Normally the media would be interested in letting the sunshine in and finding out what the truth is.”

A new era in Washington has begun. Hallelujah!

The old era will not be missed. Recall a revealing moment Jan. 3, 2017, before Trump took office, when Sen. Chuck Schumer warned the president-elect against feuding with the CIA. “You take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” he said. Perhaps Schumer knew then how far intelligence leaders under Barack Obama had gone in spying on Trump and how far they were willing to go to bring down a president they opposed. The effort continues to this day by those same people — James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper — even though they are out of office.

The linchpin is the Clintons.

That is certainly true. But I also heard someone once say, and this rings even truer, that really....the media is in the driver’s seat, and the DNC is just their political arm.

That’s sort of a different way to think about it....but I’m inclined to think that it is even truer.

Someone made a very interesting comment last week. Durham may have some unfinished business regarding Mueller since it was Durham who put away the dirty FBI agent Connolly. Mueller was neck deep in the whole dirty mess with Mueller and Whitney Bolger.

Absolutely. Someone is pulling the strings and funneling money to the people who do as they are told. Journalists are not acting like journalists at all. They are acting like paid flunkies. So ... who's paying?

Of course not. Barr was talking to someone who knows that, but is unwilling to admit it. So for the purpose of persuasion of her listeners, it is “strange."

Somewhere there's a money trail. This needs to be investigated too.

1. Journalism is negative, and journalists all know it.

2. Journalists claim journalism is objective, knowing 1 above.

3. Therefore journalists, effectively, claim that “negativity is objectivity.” You show me someone who claims that, and I’ll show you a cynic.

4. If A and B are opposites, cynicism towards A is not consistent with cynicism towards B. Rather, cynicism towards A is consistent with naiveté towards B.

5. Common Sense says that "Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil.” It follows that society and government are in a very real and important sense opposites.

6. Journalism is about bad news about society, implying the need for more government. Journalism is cynical towards society, and naive towards government.

7. ”Cynical towards society, and naive towards government” is no way to go through life if you are conservative. It is exactly what you do if you are a socialist. A Democrat. Or a journalist.

I wouldn’t waste a lot of time looking for the monetary incentive for journalists to go along with Democrats. Democrats, after all, have no compunction at all about going along and getting along with journalists.
