Democracy Now (far Leftist) reports: “Mujica has worked closely with Scott Warren, a humanitarian aid volunteer with the group No More Deaths in Tucson, Arizona, who faces up to 20 years in prison for providing water, clean clothes and beds to two asylum seekers in the Sonoran Desert.”

That guy who recently had puff pieces about his arrest in the media was part of the network of organizers. They have had long enough to surveil and map the network of organizers, maybe now they will roll up their organization. Hope they are hitting their funding also.

Fascinating thing about Mexico is that they have kind of have the whole skin color / ethnicity issue of their own, but their’s is “Indio” (indigenous people) ancestry or Spaniard.

People with more european features and lighter skin are more typically wealthy and at the top of Mexican society. Darker skinned people, with the facial features usually associated with indigenous people are rarely at the top of Mexican society.

And in Chiapas itself, there was a real nasty separatist group that the federal government dealt with pretty harshly (combat deaths, forced relocations, and other counter-insurgency measures) in the mid-90’s.

Weird. I'm just now watching a local, San Diego news report that shows Guatemalans by the hundreds in Mexico forming new caravans!

The reporterette said that this latest group (invading mob) traveled through a jungle, walked across some river and easily gained entry into Mexico.

Apparently, they're waiting around for a "fast train" north.
