The Truth about Radiometric Dating

June 2019

Prove it. That’s the challenge biblical creationists often face when discussing the scientific validity of the Genesis creation account with skeptics. Many people leave the church, especially young adults, when they think that the Bible and science can’t be harmonized. But what if incredible harmony actually exists?

Those who believe in millions and billions of years often point to radiometric dating as indisputable scientific proof that Earth is old. Since the biblical timeline indicates a young earth that’s only about 6,000 years old, creation scientists must address the radiometric dating issue. We need someone with great expertise to take a critical look at these methods and pull all the findings together.

ICR Research Associate Dr. Vernon Cupps’ new book Rethinking Radiometric Dating: Evidence for a Young Earth from a Nuclear Physicist fulfills this need.

Now there are those who look at 1-8 (and more) and have decided that it was intelligent aliens with the technology to target these five cities directly that caused their destruction.

They see the science, cant deny it, but would rather believe that aliens (Annunaki) destroyed them, and not Jehovah who caused their destruction.

Was Adam created with the appearance of age?

Except the Bible clearly tells us each day was “evening and morning”, so they are obviously terrestrial days marked the same way that we mark them.

Faith in Christ’s singular and complete work on the cross is primary, the renewing of the mind follows if one is willing....

Bingo! If Adam was created with age, why wasn’t the rest of creation?

“Except the Bible clearly tells us each day was “evening and morning”, so they are obviously terrestrial days marked the same way that we mark them.”

God marked the days before he placed the sun. Therefore his days are NOT equivalent to our solar days.

What if a group of children were taught that books were evil, that paperbacks were of the devil, softbacks would lead one to perdition, hard-bound books were the gateway to hell.

Such children could only be found in a fantasy world constructed by entertainment and news propaganda - you obviously don't know very many home-schooled or Christian-educated children, if any. Indeed, the author of the book earned his Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Indiana University and has 73 publications in secular scientific journals. In addition to working at Fermilab for 23 years, where he managed the operation of the Radioisotope Analysis Facility, Dr. Cupps also researched at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Canada’s TRIUMF Accelerator.

So he's obviously working.

My posting was intended only to demonstrate that the analogy used was faulty. Your response to my posting does not address that issue.

Yes your brainwashed Lyle-Darwinianism has dominated our teaching centers for a 100 years. Not one scientific breakthrough has come about because of this cultish atheistic doctrine. How much money is wasted on evolutionary science while true science points more and more to the impossibility of trans species evolujtion!

There’s a youtube clip I’ve seen ( a year ago ? ) that shows one of those sulphur balls being ignited.

How large are they, on average? Are we talking about balls several centimeters in diameter, or what?

Radio Metric dating is okay, but what about Radio Metric and Radio English dating? Won't the little radios be confused?

Even if you don't understand my post everyone else can. But let's agree to disagree and stop pointless bickering.

Except the sun wasn’t made until day four... Where did the evening and morning come from?

Genesis 1:3 First day.

The Almighty did quite a lot in that first day.

“Where did the evening and morning come from?”

From God. When God says it is evening, it’s evening. Just like when God says “let there be light”, there is light.
