I only worked 1 Plant that We fed PP at the Raw Intake so it had a CT of 22 Minutes.
I use potassium permanganate to “age” the bright white westinghouse micarta grips on my 1911A1’s . They are sold by Smith-Alexander and are a brilliant white when new.
Soak the “new” grips in a tall glass of distilled water with a few crystals of potassium permanganate that turns the water light purple.
The grips look just like “aged yellowed ivory” but 100% more durable and available / cheaper than real ivory.
PS ....... potassium permanganate crystals are carried to purify water by many special forces around the worlds versus iodine tablets. One crystal, (size of a grain of sea salt) will treat up to two quarts. I carried em in my SERE kit my entire military career , used it for decades. Still to this day in my vehicles and hunting / fishing gear.
