“the Republican National Committee ought to schedule a debate in California”

The RNC can schedule a debate between a Republican and a democrat? Since when?

Not necessarily. If Trump and other republicans start to campaign in CA and expose the problems caused by democrats they can turn a few votes.
I seriously doubt they could win the state in a presidential election, but if they can turn losing by 4.3 million votes as they did in 2016 into only losing by 2 million votes, this ridiculous talk of a national popular vote will go away rather quickly.

Everyone knows the problem CA is having without having Trump go there and waste his time and money.

I would take this advice. Drop in on CA and tell them he can fix their mess.

“Waste of money and time.”

Maybe in the past. Now with the homeless situation giving the gift of feces and needles in the streets, and the immigration situation bringing in disgusting diseases and sucking up the healthcare and education legals should have, things could be different. I don’t think it would take a lot to flip some — maybe many — people in the cities.

Everyone across the country know about all that.

A waste of time and money.

California is in a civil war between the Meeheecan drug cartels+illegal alien invaders vs the communists running the government.

Whatever the outcome, California is a lost cause and needs to be extricated from America.

There is no civil war in CA. They all support what their state government is doing.

The civil war will determine which evil group is at the top.

Many moons ago my wife and I moved from OH to Hollywood...and after 4-5 years, regained our sanity and returned.

re: “Burn time, money and energy on states he’ll never flip. Sounds like a plan. He can hammer the failure of CA anywhere.”

This could be a strategic move against whichever dem becomes their nominee - Hit ‘em hard at that time ... it’s too early yet to do this ...

I’ve been saying he needs to go to Detroit about 4 times a year and point out the cars that are coming from there now. Just as the steel mills in the rust belt. It’s undeniable that he is regenerating the America of the 60’s. If we could get just 50% of the blacks, the Dems would never win another office.

Were Trump to campaign regularly in CA the protest riots would be sensational.

The media reporting would be worth thousands of new Trump votes in other parts of the country.

I was born and raised there. My entire family lives there. Personally, I can’t understand why they stay but I can’t live their lives for them.

I’m much happier in AZ then I would ever be in CA. My family comes here to visit and finds it like being in a foreign country the differences are so stark. They are amazed at how we live in AZ and how they are limited in their living in CA.

I tell them well when the Democratic party controls the entire state in CA that determines how they live.

My family still primarily votes Republican there though when they can. In most races the top two vote getters are Democrats because of the law there.

My family puts up with it. I would find it absolutely irritating living there.

My cousin absolutely refuses to visit SF or LA anymore though and is sad about it. She used to love SF.

I think this is a great idea. Trump SHOULD go to California.

He should also visit black and Hispanic communities. He is uniquely qualified to wade into the lion’s den. People in these communities have been lied to for so long by the left, it would be refreshing for them to at least hear an alternative view.

“The Republican party if one really exists,... has surrendered California.”

When the state is flooded with millions of illegals who are allowed to vote, what is the point of contesting it?

First we need border security and enforcement, then we can worry about trying to take back Mexifornia.

There are many Hispanics in California who are not illegal, and I’d have to think their numbers are superior to the illegal aliens who vote.

You present truth to them regarding the evils of abortion and other matters that are important to Christians. Many of these people are Catholics. You can make presentations on gang crimes and other things that are a blight to their children and communities.

Legal Hispanics are not a big fan of illegal aliens. They bring in crime and undercut them at their jobs. Trump has been solid on this.

California is much more vulnerable to arguments from the Right than most folks think it is.

Holding big events in California would build momentum for Trump here, and our cause in general.

People are going to be much more likely to run or support those who do who are Conservative, if Conservatism is hawked in the state.

All Trump has to do is address the absurdity of California’s over taxation... and on and on it goes.

No statewide or national figure is doing that now.

We need Trump out here.

Pete Wilson was a lost cause too.

Schwarzenegger was certainly a harm to the cause, but the RNC had been neutering the California Republican party on back for decades.

Dale Reed was instrumental in explaining what had transpired in the state over the years, at the top of the Republican Party in the state.
