Thank you, Obama. Our Government assuring student loans is just a scheme to bankrupt the country. You can only implement a new system of governing, SOCIALISM, after you have destroyed the system already in place. Bankrupting the country is just the first step. And ALL the Dem prospects are championing loan forgiveness. No surprise.
In a typical exercise in fudgy D.C. accounting they’ll offset the actual costs with a bunch of phantom benefits (higher incomes, more spending on homes and big ticket items, increased economic activity, etc.)
That's how I went to college. My parents didn't have much. But I worked three part-time jobs and took a full course load. Didn't have to borrow a dime. All I did was study and work. I was a starving student.
This student debt problem all started when Obama took the student loan program from the private sector and made it a government program.
If colleges and universities know the federal government will be lending money to students to pay tuition, guess what happens? Schools increase their tuition and the students have to borrow more money, a self-fulfilling failure.
Who would pay tens of thousands of dollars to go to school to get a degree that will not garner a job to pay for a massive student loan? Apparently those who are taught social justice but not finances.
My wife and I know 40 year old woman who owes $35,000 in student debt, didn't get a degree and works as a dishwasher in a restaurant. She's never paid a dime on the debt and never will.
This is what democRATic socialist policies gets us. Stupid college kids, deep in debt and no way to pay it back.
And you think it's bad now. Wait until the democRATS double-down on the problem and make college tuition FREE.
The students won't have massive student debt to pay but the colleges will stick it to the taxpayers for even higher tuitions. After all, the government is paying for it.
