BACKSTORY: A little more than a week ago President Trump identified former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Tom Homan, as a likely candidate for the position of border czar. “He’ll be a border czar, he’ll be very much involved in the border, he’ll be reporting directly to me,” Mr. Trump said.
However, in a follow up interview with Lou Dobbs, Tom Homan said there were discussions, and he wants to support the president, but he would only take the position if certain “structural changes” within the internal DHS system were made. In essence, Homan appeared to be saying he’d only take the job if chain-of-authority was changed, and all the hurdles to doing the job were removed.
Today, Mr. Homan seemed to clearly identify Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan as the person working against the interests of the President; leaking information to impede the immigration policy of President Trump; and likely the reason why Homan would only consider entering back into the administration if the process was changed to allow him to work around a corrupt Acting DHS Secretary, McAleenan.

This the same guy, who after President Trump had announced he was going to be the new Border Czar, turned around, and appeared on Fox News, and said the White House announcement was premature, and he hadn’t made his mind up about taking the job yet.

Seems odd since since Trump just selected McAleenan as his acting DHS Sec in April, 2019.

YES! WTF is wrong with Trump and his appointments? If you’re a duplicitous POS, you can be sure of a nomination! Sessions, Tillerson, etc., the list is endless. And with each “appointment,” he looses a lot of time having to find out that he’s been had by the person! He’d have a better chance of success throwing darts at a phone book!
Both the Klintoons and the Russians have demonstrated, over the past many decades, exactly how to take care of that very efficiently... High body-counts?... No problem!

I think he keeps hoping to bridge the gap with the RINOs and the RATs, but that is a fool’s mission! Donald Trump is an anathema to the whole of the government who long for everything to “go back to the way that it was before he showed up.” In the scheme of things, they think that they can “wait out” this President. They succeed to some extent, each time he appoints one of their “recommended” people, because it is just another element in “running out the clock!” OTOH, right now, the really big prize, is winning re-election. Once he’s passed that hurdle, I think all the stops will come out. So then it becomes critically important to have appointees who will do exactly as they are told and be loyal to a fault. The one that really concerns me is Wray. He’s a deep state POS in a very important position.

Acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan deserves a size 10 WW shoe right up his arse.And he deserves to be fired for destroying ICE OP SEC.
I hope McAleenan is summarily shown the exit door.
If the ICE initiative had gone ahead, the lives of thousands of ICE agents would have been at risk in the field, because of McAleenan’s leak. He is a treasonous SOB. Thankfully PDJT postponed it.
Doesn’t mean he’s not right about Trump promoting yet another underminer within his admin. Could be that is what Homan was trying to get fixed when he stalled on his full acceptance of his new position.
