On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez defended the proposal of health care for immigrants who entered the United States illegally.
Thursday at the Democratic debate all ten candidates raised their hands when asked if they support health care for undocumented immigrants.
Perez said, “It’s an insurance program, so you got to pay into it. Immigrants, including undocumented immigrants, pay billions of dollars in taxes. That is the reality.”
He continued, “Democrats believe that you should be able to buy into a health insurance system. It is not a handout.”
He added, “I live in a community right now where if you are a pregnant woman and you are undocumented, we provide you with access to health care because we believe that having good prenatal care is an essential health care issue an essential issue of economics and frankly an essential issue of morality. The party of Lincoln is dead, and one of the things that died with it is compassion, and this is not a handout. again, this is allowing people to buy into an insurance program, people who pay billions of dollars in taxes.”

They constantly want to conflate illegal aliens with legal immigrants apparently because the average Democrat can’t figure out the difference...So no, the illegals do not pay income taxes...And if some do, someone needs to explain how they illegally have social security numbers...

I was GOING to clarify that YES they pay sales tax and gas tax even though they shouldn’t be driving and they pay other taxes but the MAIN source of federal revenue is income tax.

Illegals can pay income taxes. Without a social security card. They give them what is called an ITIN. Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. I haven’t seen any numbers on how many illegals actually have an ITIN and pay income taxes with it.....and that should tell you there aren’t enough that do to make a difference.

Once again, the Democrats manufacture a false premise. Regardless of whether illegal aliens pay taxes ( some do, most don’t), paying taxes does not equate with free healthcare.
Americans pay taxes and then pay astronomical sums for health care
Why doesn’t their government pay for their health care? Instead of providing ‘free’ health care to illegal aliens, we should be sending the bills to their home countries. If their home countries won’t pay, we should take from whatever US aid they receive the amount they owe (or, add a tax on all remittances to their country of origin).
The problem is that too many people come here to the US despite not liking the US, or Americans. When the US Men’s Soccer Team plays in the US against Mexico, Ecuador, etc., the stands are full of people from those nations who are rooting for their home nation - not the US. Often a US ‘home game’ doesn’t even look like a home game. So where is their allegiance?
We are being sold down the drain by politicians who will do or say almost anything to obtain and keep their political office.
