I now find baseball as boring as watching paint dry. After playing it and being a big fan as kid. I do find the growing Hispanization of baseball amusing after hearing for years about how “foreign” a sport soccer is.
Soccer has non stop action for two hours and the national/international aspect is fun, too. To each his own I suppose.
I find baseball boring as well on TV - it seems more exciting when you are there. About the only sports I watch on TV now are NFL football and MMA fighting.
Because Lord knows there is nothing more pressing for the Senate to be dealing with right now.

That’s false. No idea where you are getting that idea. The US mens World Cup match against Portugal had 24 million viewers. Well overf twice the viewers of the ladies recent match against Holland. And I’m sure you’ll recall in that Portugal match the US was “competitive” with a team that has one of the greatest players to ever play the game in Ronaldo.

I remember that game from 2014 Brazil World Cup. It was a group stage game.
US was leading 2-1. Then Portugal scored the equalizer with
an assist from Ronaldo. The final score was 2-2.
2014 USMNT did not have any player who was annoying...I had no problem supporting that team.
