Let us prosecute these wars without rules and restrictions and then get the hell out.Exactly. You think they would have figured that out by now

Correct. Wars must be fought to win; the enemy certainly fights that way.
But if an an enemy ever conquered the US, do you think he’d ever “get the hell out”?

Afghanistan and Iraq for years was seen as a career opportunity by certain connected officers mostly O-5 and up and as a oppor tunity to tap a vast gusher of YS tax dollars by hundreds of ‘service providers’ and organizations that are virtual parts of the permanent government. The US spent a trillion dollars in Iraq to create the shattered it is. The Barry came along and ‘Arab Spring’ blossomed wrecking Syria and Libya. Small wonder vets of these near interminable conflicts feel , um, used. What began as a war (supposedly) to destroy Al-Quaida got re-purposed by the insiders, bankster, careerist and just plain criminals to be a huge perpetual payoff machine. The simulation of a war in Afghanistan has to be maintained to keep the scheme running as long as possible. That is why Trump is being resisted tooth and nail about setting a date and planning to leave. As for military that get killed or maimed or wounded or screwed up mentally, well tough you signed up for it says K Street.

We should have bombed the hell out of Iran AND Iraq. Every bridge, telephone exchange and power plant. Then warn them that we’ll do it again with NO notice. Remember Israel and the Iraq nuke plant in 1980?

Kill the top 3 levels of enemy leadership if we get into war!
Then let the next 3 levels they will be next. It is up to them.

Agreed on ROEs, but Iraq and Afghanistan were parts of an overall strategy for the war on terror. The conclusion of that strategy is obvious to some of us. President Bush and other leaders told us long ago that the war might not be finished for 30 years or so.
Iran has been the main provider of plans, training and materiel to terrorists in quite a few countries all along. In Afghanistan, many of the IEDs that injured and killed many of our buddies came from Iran. One of my neighbors (a 12B, as I was long before him) was hit by one of those IEDs.
Only one more step to go. Finish the War on Terror. Finish it!

First, thanks for your service.
Second, glad to hear Patriots realizing that so much of the conflict we are in is contrived and used to benefit special interests.
I used to listen to the late Dr Stan Monteith. He pointed out that many of the very negative social changes here seem to occur while the Republic’s attention is diverted by war...at least post WW2.
I have always thought that the real enemy was the special interests and deep state.
