On Tuesday, the Louisiana Republican appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight to talk about the war between President Trump and what is now being called “The Squad” — Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts.
“I’m not sure the president should exchange playground insults with them. When you try to argue with a fool, that proves there are two. But the president decided to do so,” Kennedy said. “The simple fact of the matter is that the four congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins, they think that America and its people are even more wicked now, that we are all racist and misogynistic and evil.”
Then Kennedy got rolling.
“They are entitled to their opinion. They are Americans. But I’m entitled to my opinion, and I just think they are left-wing cranks and they are the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle,” Kennedy said. “I think we should ignore them.”

The Left gets no push-back unless Trump does it.
If the party would engage, it would take a lot of pressure off him to do so.
So far, I see no evidence the party has any clue about the need for push-back.

In other words, don't argue with an idiot lest folks confuse you for the idiot.
Bush League Republicans want to meet the Democrats half way on destroying the country.
All this controversy makes that harder to do.
