Sure he can run for a third term. Just change the way terms are counted. Plus, constitutional requirements don’t count when they are ignored. pass a resolution that says Trump is eligible (as was done for McCain) and it’s a done deal.

No problem. I know you’re one of the good guys. My comments were really meant for everyone on the thread to see, but I’m sure every Freeper knows the president is going to be swinging for the bleachers in his second term even more than he did in his first term.
I remember seeing Ronald Reagan on TV when he was president saying he wanted the amendment limiting presidents to two terms repealed.
“Not for me,” he said. “But for future presidents.”
If President Reagan had gotten his way, Bill Clinton would have probably run in 2000 and Obama would have kept at it until he got bored, or nagged to death by the Wookie.
Lame duck used to refer to a President in office between an election and a new President being sworn in.
Then Ronald Reagan won his second term and the Fake News Media immediately started calling him a lame duck.
