Gabbard Torches MSNBC Host: It Sounds Like Kamala's Giving You Her Talking Points

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) took shots at Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and her prosecutorial record during Wednesday night's Democratic Debate.

"Senator Harris says she's proud of her record as a prosecutor and she'll be a prosecutor as president. But I'm deeply concerned about this record. There are too many examples to cite but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana," Gabbard said. "She blocked evidence that would have freed an innocent man from death row until the courts forced her to do so. She kept people in prison beyond their sentences to use them as cheap labor for the State of California and she fought to keep cash bail systems in place. That impacts poor people in the worst kind of way."

Gabbard was asked about aspects of the debate during a Thursday appearance on MSNBC's “Live with Ali Velshi," at which point Gabbard accused host Yasmin Vossoughian of being fed talking points from Sen. Kamala Harris' (D-CA) presidential campaign.

The claim came about when Vossoughian questioned Gabbard about her meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Daily Caller reported.

Vossoughian wanted to know if Gabbard's meeting with al-Assad is the same as Gabbard's claim that President Donald Trump supports Al-Qaeda. Gabbard was offended by the thought.

"I don't know how you could equate that," she responded.

"- that you'd be meeting with the leader of Syria, that would be responsible for the killings of over half a million people who ordered the chemical attacks on children in his own country?" Vossoughian asked.

According to the Congresswoman, she would meet with the president or leader of any country if it meant establishing peace and keeping her fellow brother and sisters in uniform out of harms way.

“If that means meeting with a dictator, meeting with an adversary in order to accomplish that mission of keeping the American people safe, making sure our troops are not continuing to be sent on these wasteful wars putting their lives at risk and making sure we’ve got the resources for the American people, I will do what is necessary,” she explained.

"So you don't see the parallels there -" Vossoughian asked.

Gabbard referenced to former presidents meeting with various dictators and other world leaders during their time.

"So, why meeting with people like Stalin or meeting with Bashar al-Assad but not necessarily meeting with the leaders of Saudi Arabai or meeting or having a relationship with them?" Vossoughian asked. She said she wanted to get Gabbard's take because there "seems to be some inconsistencies" with what the Congresswoman was saying.

Gabbard made it clear she believed MSNBC was running with Harris' talking points because the California Senator refuses to address the issues with her record. Specifically, the Congresswoman was referencing the al-Assad meeting, which Harris continually launches at Gabbard.

“Every time I come back here on MSNBC, you guys talk to me about these issues. It sounds like these are talking points that Kamala Harris and her campaign are feeding you because she’s refusing to address the questions that were posed to her,” Gabbard said.

Gabbard accuses an MSNBC host of being fed a line of questioning from Harris's team.

Tulsi is interesting.

I agree with her on almost nothing politically, but she is probably the most likable Democrat out there.

Either she or Yang would be the least bad of all their terrible options.

“They prop up Kamala, they push down TulsiI”

Yes, and it’s scripted by people above the anchors and interviewers. They’re just speaking the lines given to them

So, how exactly, does Donald Trump support Al-Qaeda, as per Mizz Gabbard?

Tulsi shows occasional flashes of common sense/decency that are quite foreign to other riders in the RAT presidential clown car. Especially that slut Harris.

Don’t get me wrong — Rep. Gabbard is hanging out with the worst crowd imaginable, so I’m not going to get my hopes up.

But she’s still quite young, so it’s not impossible she might move a bit toward the political center in coming years.

You guys need to cool it with the Tulsi worship.

*********************************************

I said it on other threads that she would be the most dangerous to Trump. I hope he has a plan if she is the candidate because mocking her in any form will not work. She is very sharp and her beauty is disarming.

It's all #FakeNews all the time!

"- that you'd be meeting with the leader of Syria, that would be responsible for the killings of over half a million people who ordered the chemical attacks on children in his own country?" Vossoughian asked. ... "So you don't see the parallels there -" Vossoughian asked.

Never see that D-bag ask Queen Pelozi that question.

I believe the news is biased but I also think tulsi is being thin skinned and defensive in her argument that the news was fed talking points by Harris. I thought even as biased news the question of comparing tulsi’s Assad meeting with trump’s Saudi meetings was legit. That is separate from what might have motivated the question.

Bro you’re way off the mark this time.

I read the article and though I wouldn’t vote for the woman, she seems quite bright and is right that the networks are attacking her because she is NOT who they want.

Anyone who mentions concern for our troops will not be the frontrunner of the dem party.

Ah, it happens to me sometimes too. I read the article too quickly or not enough and make an ill informed comment.

Magnum’s post are usually very good.

It’s the weekend and getting a little late and some of us have had a few drinks :)

Just because the news attacks her doesn’t mean she isn’t paranoid. She is as guilty as Trump is of ‘supporting’ al queda, which is not guilty in both cases. But she couldn’t admit that.

Sorry, it was an obvious smear. MSNBC is pushing Kamala, and also trying to derail Tulsi for opposing the Obama/Hillary/McCain war on Syria

What Tulsi should say:

"Look, we need someone serious and mature for President of the United States. The last person we need is a good time party girl whose number's on the wall. For a good time call Kammy at 867-5309."

All right, Tulsi. You go, girl! Sometimes Tulsi reminds me of Sarah Palin. Strong and unafraid.

Uh, yeah - except she’s a dim-witted leftist moron who thinks Trump supports Al-Queda.

She does oil up nicely, though.

“doesn’t mean she isn’t paranoid.”

For her to point out that they’re consciously serving as Kamalas mouthpiece isn’t paranoid, it’s stating a fact. That’s why the anchor got so flustered, she knew it was true, she’d been given the script from producers. The brass are all for Kamila

The media’s not honest - it’s NEVER honest - it’s ALWYS pushing a very defined agenda. To say otherwise is fatally naive.

If we’re going to pull punches about media fraud for fear of being called paranoid, well then we’ll always be a Bush- type losers. Trump knows better. Even though she’s a Dem, Tulsi also seems to get it
