f a judge releases Grand Jury material can he be prosecuted?
_______
IANAL.

I believe he can so order and then be overturned all the way to the Supreme Court.

It will not look good for him, professionally, but it will punch his PC ticket and insure some sort of nice payoff to him or a family member in future.

And lawyers wonder why they're as despised as they are.

No. Judges have something called absolute immunity for official acts. Exceptions to this are rare, such as the judge who was taking innocent kids away and sending them to juvie for a kickback (Pennsylvania). "Kids for Cash."

The only reason they were punished was to save face. If the wrongs hadn't been widely known, there would not have been any corrective action. Anyway, this case is the ONLY exception I know of where a judge was accountable.

IANAL either but that does sound about right. That’s a shame!
Judges shouldn’t be allowed to break the law under the color of law
and get away with a simple slap down by a higher court.

There are sound reasons for the rule to be what it is, but the reasons depend on judges and a system with integrity. Break the integrity, and then the system itself becomes toxic rather than beneficial. See FBI spying on political campaigns. The core action is NOT CRIMINAL because the action is so far beyond the pale that the controlling regulations just don't talk to it.

What really sucks is that the people who can regulate this, the legislators have impeachment power, don;t want to held accountable, and don;t care that the public is getting the shaft. Listen to how many thanked and praised Comey, for example. The rule of thumb is that there is no such thing as a dishonorable public servant. The presumption should be the oppisite. Crooks until proved otherwise.

Thanks! I understand what you’re saying and it’s a good take on the overall situation.

You are talking about Grand Jury material. That will be protected

I am talking about HOM - Harm to Ongoing Matter.

‘Harm’ is in the eye of the beholder - so the judge may overrule the decision.

And frankly, ALL of the Mueller cases are going to fail and come apart. So the sooner this information is released the better.

Not the only case.

The reporting Sisters (State Senator and Supreme Court Justice) were retaliated against in Trumed up charges.

8 Federal judges have been impeached... by the Senstr.

The last one was from Louisiana. Judge Porteous.

Must see TV... from 2010

Judge Porteous’s (very stupid) attorney brought in fromer Judge Bodenheimer in as Porteous’s ‘character witness’

The money quote starts at 1:10 in the video from an astounded Senator Whitehouse.

“May I ask a question of counsel?

You have offered this witness to the Senate committee as a credible witness?”

For you see, Judge Bodenheimer had been convicted and had just served three years in jail.

Those with connections are *allowed* to do whatever is in the interests of the administrative state.

But *should* has no meaning and less power.

It all is what it is.

I can't argue with that. That is a basic truth.

Smirking Chimp "judge" Reggie Walton was confirmed on a recorded 97-0 vote of the U.S. Senate on September 21, 2001.

Pretty clear Walton is a Democrat-approved Bushie POS.

Trump judges are lucky to clear 57 "Ayes".

i see. thanks.
(don’t know this guy but certainly there are a lot of very very very bad ‘judges’ nowadays...who either don’t know the constitution or law.......or else choose to undermine same...some very bad judges, some dangerous)
