GOP strategist says Calif. sign of things to come and that AOC, Mueller don't matter in 2020

A Republican strategist and former 2016 presidential campaign spokesman for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) laid out three things that the GOP must do to ensure President Donald Trump is reelected next year, including some surprises — such as, he believes California a sign of things to come for the GOP without a plan to address it.

In an op-ed for The Hill, Ron Nehring writes that while “California has become a running joke” for his party, it’s really “the canary in the coal mine, not an outlier.”

That is, the state is a massive warning sign for the Republican Party.

“While there is plenty of legitimate ammo for such jokes coming from the Golden State, usually from San Francisco, politically, the joke is on them,” he says.

“California is not some oddball left coast anachronism running counter to some broad national conservative trend. California is an indicator of what is coming. When Reagan was elected president in 1980, California was 21 percent Latino — now it’s over 40 percent,” Nehring writes.

Open borders to the South will do that.

I get scolded for being so negative, but I’m just a realist. I agree, California is our future. I heard a political pundit say, (can’t remember who), “If you want to know the Republican platform in 10 years, look at the Democrats in California today.”

Republican politicians are, in general, spineless and without conviction. It gives me no pleasure to observe that America is the equivalent of a dead man walking.

He’s right... in time the whole country will be like California is now... we’re simply trying to forestall it long enough so our children will have a country.

I've said this for a long time.. in 50 years or so the Mexicans and Muslims will be fighting for the carcass of the dead, former America.

I've considered moving to my ancestral home of the Azores.

Sad to say Pres. Trump is simply life-support. After he’s gone America will slide to KA or venezuela status. D-rats don’t even try to hide their corruption because they know they have a demographic lock on power soon.

Which is why Dems need open borders, they dont care about illegals, they just want them swarming the country, put them in red states, and flip them blue

Sadly, I have to agree with that. I’m glad I’m midway through the fourth quarter of my life.

Useless fear mongering. No discussion of what issues to raise, how to raise them, and where to raise them. No wonder Cruz had such a close election, in contrast to other Republicans on the ticket.

Enough leftist voters are fleeing California and New York and Illinois to heretofore Republican states to turn the nation Communist Red in November next year. They are like Moslems who have a Koranic duty to Emigrate in order to infiltrate the infidel countries until they reach a proportion therein to seriously affect the culture and the politics of the country toward Sharia and conversions. The economic migrants from the totalitarian leaning states are not doing it deliberately for the most part but they are doing it all the same.

Yup, as the old saying goes;

So California goes; so the country goes

Downhill is evidently the direction of travel

I moved to the boonies and am hoping to have us pretty well set to ride things out for as long as possible. I’ll probably be gone before things get too bad.

I do worry for my bright white kids though.

“I’ve said this for a long time.. in 50 years or so the Mexicans and Muslims will be fighting for the carcass of the dead, former America.”

I understand that we neglected the education of our young, and that’s a big part of all this. Even given that, it just amazes me how little anyone seems to care.

In my own city, Obama imported some folks from Nepal, and plunked them down here. There has been no education, no adaptation, no assimilation. The imports generally don’t speak English, generally don’t like Americans, and I’m not sure, but I wonder if they even want to be here. There was a facebook post by a neighbor, complaining of an exterminator that regularly comes to the next door neighbor, (an import). The home has bedbugs, cockroaches, and rats. There were plenty of others who chimed in with their import stories, none of them good. But, nothing will be done.

Americans lack conviction. They lack passion, and desire. We are well past ripe for conquest.

It breaks my heart to watch it happen.

oh, and the original article is basically bullshit by an anti-Trumper Cruz ex-campaign flak who helped Ted Cruz lose to Trump and almost lose to that fool Beto ...

I have believed for two decades that America is essentially over due to the hacking out of any actual content from Public education. We have several cohorts of PS educated citizens who have no knowledge of history and what has worked and what has failed in the past. They are unacquainted with Geography and Civics and are less and less able to even read. And with the Judaeo Christian roots shoved out of the classroom and religion itself blocked out and denigrated students have no grounding in the facts or in morals. They will believe anything stridently and emotionally promulgated. You cannot remain a Republic with such a population.

Look at the Arabs in Gaza and the West Bank. Their education pounds hatred of the Jews and of the West and of Infidels into their brains to the exclusion of everything else. That makes any sort of acceptance of Israel impossible. That is a wound that cannot be healed short of amputation.

Essentially, Trump is like Pete Wilson in California. He tried to stop the illegal immigration and was vilified as a racist. No reason America is becoming Hispanic except a Democrat power grab. Could it be stopped? Yes. Is it being stopped? Unlikely.

America can reemerge, but once we go under, it will take at least 50 years for a turn around.
