This whole thing goes back a year or two when Denmark sent a guy to get some help from the Chinese for some airports. This isn’t about the President wanting the land for a hotel/casino. It’s a strategic national security issue. Shame that no one in the media seems to care about such trivial things. And to think that an alleged NATO ally would go to the ChiComs for help when the US already has a stake on the island.

The Chinese are like the mob.
If they step in to “help” you, they own you.
Several Africa countries are discovering those sweetheart deals where the Chinese “loan” them money to improve their airports and ports (which the Chinese want) are just a back door to be colonized again.

The problem is not Denmark at all. They really are one of the better countries over there.
The problem is that they have Quisling Leftist politicians willing to sell out their people’s interests, for bribes or ideology.

China is doing this all over the world. They corrupt local politicians to sign over National assets, in “debt trap” financial deals, that are not foreclosed on until the guilty politicians are safely out of office.
They take the long view, and are buying an empire on the cheap.
