Sacramento Woman Forced To Move Business Due To Homelessness Issue

California is quickly turning into a hell hole, if it hasn't actually earned that status yet. The areas that are particularly hit the hardest by state and local policies have been the cities of the Golden State. Look no further than this latest story out of Sacramento. A salon owner of 21 years recently had to move locations, not because of lack of sales or increased property taxes, but because the homeless population is simply out of control.

"I am angry about it as well. I wouldn’t be relocating if it wasn’t for this issue," Elizabeth Novak told Fox & Friends recently.

"When I come into work, I’m never sure what I am going to walk into. I’ve been broken into, I've had my glass broken, I clean up human excrement off of my doorstep every week, cups of urine, things like that," Novak said in a now-viral post.

"I have to fight off people to push their way into my shop, and are homeless and on drugs because you don’t wanna arrest people for drug offenses," Novak said in the video directly addressed to California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

"I have compassion, I love these people, but I’m not able to work at my business any longer," the business owner added.

"A lot of people are saying it’s a housing issue. It’s a drug issue,” Novak told Fox & Friends. "I’ve spoken with a lot of law enforcement in my area and they all have the same answers. Their hands are tied, they can’t arrest them, and a lot of people think arresting won’t do much and it definitely will."

Novak's video can be seen here:

Yeah, I didn’t see that vid either. I did see and hear her tell somebody (to whom was the video directed, anyway?) that their “liberal ideology” was not working, indicating she’s not a liberal.

She'd have more of an impact hiring a carload of young studs to curb-stomp some sense into Grabbin' Nuisance...

The reference to Idaho and Wyoming are that they are nearly immune from Californians simply because winter kills them. Can you really believe places like Stanley Idaho, or the Merc in Atlantic City, Wyoming will survive much longer?

I don’t understand the reference to Idaho and Wyoming.

California is exporting an invasion force to the surrounding states.

By my count, California has six US Senators.

2 CA Senators
2 NV Senators
1 AZ Senator
1 CO Senator

Jon Tester (Commie - MT) is a another California export.

I don't even count WA and OR because they went Commie on their own.

Don’t forget me, I am in an out of the way location.
Jim Robinson and his family are down in Fresno; better bring a helicopter, something like a CH 46 should do the job.

Jon "No Testicles" Tester was the canary in the coal mine for MT, ID & WY.

When that lying pedophile-loving POS got "re-elected" - that was the signal flare going up for these western states.

True. Newsome is a globalist of the worst order. He’ll convert America into a 3rd world no matter what. He and his ilk have already done that to much of kali. And Orygone. And Washington. And Colorado. Austin. Tulsa. New Mexico.

The Indians in Montana all vote five times for Jon Tester.

In return, the Democrat Governor Of Montana, Steve Bollocks, has the Montana National Guard building houses for Indians.

Yeah, that’s why we have a National Guard, because BIA needs a break.

Ask the Governor if the National Guard can build some houses in Billings.

See what he says.

I may possibly have been a little harsh on her. But it’s going to take more than that to convince me that she’s on our side and not one of the enemy.

I could tell by her comments that she is a good lefty and has never voted for anyone but a Rat.

I've heard her interviewed several times. She's a conservative and a Christian. When she says she cares about the homeless people don't read more into it than is there.

I wonder for whom Ms. Novak, the business owner, has voted these many years?

She said she lives an hour away from downtown Sacramento. That most likely puts her in the district of one of the most conservative members in Congress. And based on the number of interviews of her that I have watched and listened to, she probably voted for him.

Yes! They should have to stay in the cesspool that their votes have created! BUT, instead they are leaving California to create new cesspools in Oregon and our governor is making it happen. Kate Brown is part of the shadow government that is helping migration of cesspool creators into Oregon, Washington and other states. I have seen California government cars here in Oregon. There is a hidden agenda to help cesspoolers relocate. AND our state governments under the shadow government’s orders are subsidizing their MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. Yes, the tax payers are paying to have cesspoolers placed in brand new homes! The governors of OR, CA and WA all need to be recalled and kicked out on their asses. They are also placing illegal immigrants in brand new houses at tax payers expense! What these state government officials are doing is criminal! I am sure this is going on in other states too!

Well, California legalized dope. Build the wall around California and around the other western states that it has already bled into. As for the Midwest, it will swallow everyone who enters into its culture or prisons. ;-)

I’m having to put up with this quasi-third-World country wanna-be state for just nine eight more days then I’m outta here for good!

My Lady and I are getting the hell out of the Leftist-created Hell hole of California and specifically Sacramento on August 31st heading for Saint George, Utah, and our new home there. We are selling all our California holdings and knocking the feces laden dust of our feet and getting out before the progressives lock the prison gates to keep us productive people captive to pay the bills.

The latest insanity from the inmates running the California Asylum is from inSane Francisco where the Board of Stupidvisors passed an ordinance Tuesday night prohibiting anyone from referring to any person convicted of a crime as “ex-con,” “convicts,” “felons,” “prisoner,” “parolee,” “convicted felon,” or any term referencing their status in relation to their crimes. In fact, anyone from the moment of police detainment, through arrest, confinement, convictions, adjudication, sentence, parole, or having been released after serving time is now to be referred to as a “justice involved person,” with no mention of the crime, level of crime, disposition, conviction, release, or anything that might cause embarrassment or discrimination to the “justice involved person.” It’s as if, through no fault of their own, the innocent person is just a victim of circumstances, swept up in the bureaucratic machine of “justice involvement.”

Should victims of these “justice involved persons”, regardless if they were robbed at gun point, raped, beaten, or even murdered, now be euphemistically and generically be referred to as a “crime involved person?”

Which brings up the question of how does one then identify “justice involved persons” who may not purchase firearms, associate with other “justice involved persons” who have not yet completed their involvement, or more importantly rent housing within 1000 feet of an educational institution where age challenged individuals may or may not be pedagogically instructed, or even determine if a specific “justice involved person” can be hired to work with such age challenged individuals? (I’m trying to be politically correct ala California style so as to not offend any persons [how do they get away with using “person” when it contains a reference to a gendered male {gasp} offspring? I’m shocked!].)

This non-justice involved person would really like to know how they are going to do these things. . . but in ten days upon arrival in Utah, will no longer give a damn what California is doing to itself except then as a spectator sport on a Grand Guignol Tragic Comedy.

I realize the reverse condemnation law was intended on sticking utilities with massive liability for lawsuits, but the federal recognition of this vast blame shifting from those who refuse to maintain proper tree & brush clearance gets me wondering; why couldn’t the same law be used against cities, counties and courts?

You first must realize that before the utilities DID NOT "maintain proper tree & brush clearance", they once did so. . . until they were sued back in the 60s and 70s by the armchair conservatives in San Francisco and the other Bay Area cities in the Sierra Club for the unsightly denuding of the areas below their power lines for miles on end (which had the added benefit of creating firebreaks) which, according to the suits, were endangering nature and the wildlife. After multiple losses before liberal Federal judges, PG&E gave up and cut their clear cutting under power line program. The suits were too expensive and the courts ordered them to quit, despite the testimony of fire officials. That testimony was trumped by testimony from academics talking theoretically about the disruption of animal migration paths, and bird nesting, etc. . . with no evidentiary proof.

On drug condemnation. . . the law allows just such seizures now. Rental property used for drug sales, drug houses, etc, can be boarded up for one year depriving the owner of that income for that time. However, that ignores the fact that often the owner may be powerless to evict a drug-selling tenant, yet the law will board up his property regardless of the efforts he may have made to remove the druggy from his property, thus punishing the innocent property owner with no damage to the criminal.

There is also the issue of police corruption. Such property seizures make it too easy to grab innocent person’s property on drummed up drug charges. There was an infamous case in San Diego County a couple decades ago where some cops did a no-knock drug raid on a wealthy rancher’s house, shot and killed the owner, and seized the property as proceeds of drugs. . . but it turned out the cops had planted the drugs found during the raid.
