Were I a Muslim invader of Europe I would be amazed at what the host country will let me get away with doing in the name of tolerance.
When I started teaching, back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, we were instructed that it was important to learn the traits of minorities in order to be able to teach them better. So that Mexican girl won’t look you in the face? That’s her culture. Black kids are often late or absent—they view time differently than whites. We were told that it was important that we adapt our expectations. It always bothered me that we were supposed to adapt to them and their ways, but they weren’t to be expected to adapt to us and ours.
Muslims move to Germany from Trashcanistan and the Germans are the ones who are supposed to ‘adapt’, not the Trashcanistanis. Seems backwards to me.
I remember the first time I heard the word “multiculturalism,” back in the late 1970s, forty years ago.
I would never have believed the extent to which that concept would take hold in western society, even as the damage and chaos it has unleashed couldn’t be more obvious.
