“Good instincts, horrible outcome.”
He stole a US Mail mini van. That vehicle is not capable of “high speed” as indicated by the Highway Patrol! The troopers should have crashed that mini van off the interstate, they let it go on way too long!
It 25-30 miles between Midland and Odessa. No balls on those troopers, they were just tagging along to see the finish!

Especially after the cops knew he shot a cop and AND the postal employee.

The cops should have rammed/PIT’d the postal van at the first opportunity.

Explorer or Tahoe vs the rear axle of a ford Windstar would not have been a contest.

It was a mini van. Not a postal van.

Also, the 20 mile distance between midland and Odessa is town center to town center. From 42nd street and 388 to the Cynergy is about 1 mile. The towns grow together there.

re: “The troopers should have crashed that mini van off the interstate,”

WHEN was the last time you saw a postal van delivering mail ON an interstate?
