Polis creates 'Office of Future of Work,' third new taxpayer-funded office this year ( Colorado)

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis on Wednesday signed an executive order establishing a new office that his administration says will research the state’s “rapidly changing economy and workforce.”

The office, called the Office of Future of Work, will be part of the Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE), and will have to report annually to Polis with policy recommendations.

...

Details on what the new office will cost taxpayers were not released.

Sage Naumann, spokesman for Colorado Senate GOP, mocked the office on Twitter, saying it’s the third new office created this year.

“The Democrats’ insistence on creating a new layer of bureaucracy sure feels like a Monty Python skit. We may need an Office of Coffee because we’re getting tired of trying to keep up,” Naumann said. “This marks three new offices in one year, all complete with undefined goals, broad powers, and a name straight from the brain of George Orwell.”

...

Polis signed an executive order earlier this year establishing the Office of Saving People Money on Health Care, which is headed by Lt. Gov. Dianne Primavera, who got a pay raise for her role as director of the office.

That reminds me of the British TV show “Yes, Minister” and the fictitious Ministry of Ministerial Affairs.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he used taxpayer funds for a Ministry of Silly Walks.

There is no future of work for millions of people.Anyone with an IQ below about 100 will find out that there is no job they can do.The army won’t even take anyone with an IQ below 83.

Patronage office to pay off money bags supporters. It’s one of the leading ways to grow government.

“”a name straight from the brain of George Orwell.””

Yes, it is. Does Glenn Beck’s Agenda 21 come to mind?

And then we need “Vice and Virtue Ministry”. Perhaps we need that one first...

Hey, does anyone know the status of the recall effort? I believe that the deadline is right around the corner.

Recall to what effect? Is there a Republican in the wings who could be elected? What is the plan if the recall succeeds?

If the recall fails, and Polis has boatloads of money to fight it, then he will come out stronger than before.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to see him out. I just don’t see how this is the way. We need a strong candidate to defeat him on his record.
