Fantastic performance of one of later Chicago's best songs: Call On Me, performed by Leonid and Friends, from Ukraine.
The lovely female is Ksenia Buzina. The others are:
Serge Tiagnyriadno, lead vocal
Igor Javad, drums
Sergey Kashirin, guitar, backup vocal
Vlad Senchillo, Rhodes piano
Andrey Zyl, trumpet
Maxim Likhachev, trombone
Oleg Kudryavtcev, tenor sax
Rei Frometa, other percussion
You might try viewing a few songs on video. There are some slight differences to the score.
These guys simply nail it.
When I posted earlier I was in a restaurant. Just got back to my hotel and played Count on Me.
Another incredible effort by Leonid and Friends.
I think Ive only seen two real concerts in the last 15-20 years. I absolutely cant wait for this one.
Yep, I could do that. But I would rather you explain why this thread belongs in News and Activism?
You've failed on both accounts.......
I've watched all of their videos.......
Almost all of Chicago's background instrumentation is with a professional orchestra.
While I agree this group is very good, I can't help but think much of it may be electronically contrived.........
Who cares, the music is good anyway.
Check out their renditions of 25 or 6 to 4, and I’m a Man. Nothing electronically contrived whatsoever.
Just great musicians.
Saw them in Detroit this summer, absolutely great show. They’ve added Blood, Sweat, and Tears plus Earth, Wind and Fire to their repertoire. If you ever get a chance to see them live...do it. They’re better than the “new” Chicago lineup.
They are an incredible band. Ive always enjoyed horn bands.
GREAT BAND! I WISH THEM EVERY SUCCESFUL BREAK POSSIBLE!
There is a documentary on these guys on Youtube. They are pros. Please dont insult their talent. they are the real deal. Im a pro studio musician (commercials and tv themes). You cant hide it.I undrstand the skepticism but any real musician knows how to spot it. Even the original group Chicago promotes them and supports them.
That was really good. Thanks for posting.
You're funny.
Great stuff! Very tight! That was a heck of a special and it really captured them well! The Chicago boys looked very home up in the mountains!
The Cocaine was flowing freely up there, LOL. You have to watch the Chicago documentary, "Now More Than Ever", if you haven't seen it.
The other thing from that video, is how good Bobby is on the keyboards. He really was the engine for those early days, his Nixon-hatred fueled a lot of his songs, LOL. I think after Nixon resigned, he couldn’t write good songs anymore.
I might have seen it but right now I don’t recognize that title. I’ll look for it. The last Chicago related thing I saw was Terry Kath’s daughter’s tribute thing to him. That was very good also.
Saw that one, too.
Even before he passed away, Terry had a lot of problems, he looked terrible on the last tour with them. He definitely needed help.
I just saw their ‘25 or 6 to 4’ cover.....UNFREAKIN’ BELIEVABLE!!! Everything was perfect Chicago!
