"Why open carry and scare people? That is not very smart. Just conceal carry and be ready."

It is a political and educational action. Just maybe, if open carry was more common, fewer people would sh*t their pants at the sight. It is the same kind of "political theater" that the left indulges in oh-so-frequently.

Yes, concealed carry is better from a tactical standpoint, but this isn't about tactics...it's about politics.

I applaud any and all who open carry. THEY are the heirs of 1776.

Walmart lets you bring your penis into their store, too. As long as the other customers can’t see it, nobody will notice you have it & no questions will be asked.

I was not aware that Wal-Mart policy says the second amendment does not cover displays of the male appendage either. Thank you for your carefully researched analysis. Maybe you can book an appearance on network TV. I suggest MSNBC or CNN.

Can I ask one of those who are insistent on open carrying - DO YOU HAVE a MAGA or KAG 2020 bumper sticker on your vehicle?

My car, like other inanimate objects, can't "carry". But it does have a "NeverHillary" look-alike campaign-logo sticker, been on there for years. Probably gets a pass because leftists can't rule out my being a Bernie fan.

So there's an epidemic of open-carry patriots getting scratched by keys? Wow, I wasn't aware of this. I'm sure they deserve it, since they are obviously insensitive to other people's feelings.

In many states, a flap holster covers enough of the firearm to be legally considered concealed.

Apparently, you are unfamiliar with the word “analogy.”
Look it up.
Be aware, the more you argue, the more ignorant & hot headed you sound.

Exactly. We've just passed Constitutional Carry here and we've got some boob who, literally, likes to take his AR to parks where people take their pets and where moms take their children.

He calls it a 2nd Amendment "audit", whatever that's supposed to mean. And then he's all offended when someone calls the police and they try to engage him in dialogue.

He's an idiot and idiots like him will do more to push people from the middle to the left. If Walmart says no open carry, I have no problem with that. For me, concealed means concealed.

I am not as you say, but why play John Wayne when concealed carry works?

Privare property can tell you no guns or ccw only.

Walmart isn’t exactly private property. It is a business and a place of public accommodation.

After reading most of the comments on this thread I guess I shouldn't be surprised that many, if not all stridently support and defend private property rights until someone, Walmart, makes a decision about their property which they have every right to. All of a sudden because Walmart's decision doesn't jibe with what you(all of those slamming Walmart for their policy change)'want' suddenly those private property rights aren't so absolute anymore.

It's sad to see a bunch of 'conservatives' get their panties in a twist and act like liberals.

There is such a simple solution, either carry concealed if you have to or just refuse to patronize Walmart, just don't whine like a pissy little liberal because Walmart made a decision about their private property and business. Either everyone has a right to make decisions about their private property or no one does, be it a baker, photographer, whatever

Businesses are private property, like malls are private property, and can determine if they want guns there or not.

Not arguingnfor them, just on how they’ve been viewed as having this ability to determine if guns are on their premises or not.
