In March 2019, the state’s Supreme Court ruled the protection extended to gender transition surgeries under the state’s Medicaid program. Two months later, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a bill banning Medicaid spending on the surgeries.

Good for the governor. Poor people of Iowa will miss out on having lefty California state workers visiting their state.

It would be good for the California taxpayers, too, if their state employees just stayed in the state.

AG Barr has just declared that US law defines gender as applicable to biological sex of male or female. Is Becerra going to declare no state travel outside California?

The most embarrassing thing I can say to anyone is that I was born, and raised in this State (California). Someday we are leaving. When we don’t know yet, but as soon as possible. Too entrenched to just pack up, and get the ‘H’ out.

My family once had an opportunity, related to my dad’s job to move to California. I’m glad we didn’t.

This could be a very good determiner of the two sides in the unavoidable civil war which is coming. States which Californication bans are on the conservative side.

My family once had an opportunity, related to my dad’s job to move to California. I’m glad we didn’t.

In old age, one of my grandparent's siblings tearfully said that the worst thing she did to her children - and grandchildren - was moving the family to California when her kids were little.

They should just extend the ban to ALL the other states.
That way, the rest of the country will be safe.
