Unbelievable. The IC BUYS the “Schiff Dossier” from the Lawfare Group and then the IC changes the requirements for direct first-hand knowledge.
As Rush said today (and many others), they are running the same Steele Dossier play but on the opposite side of the field. The Dems are complicit with the IC to drive Trump from office.

I contend the Deep State works overtime developing theories whereby they can convict Trump of something.
If those government pukes worked as hard at their real jobs, we would need far fewer of them.
Trump has been president for three years. His appointees should have been in the loop at every step. If this is another of the myriad corners of the bureaucracy being run by Actings and holdovers because Trump has been too busy tweeting to actually staff his administration, then … well, this is what you get.
Almost certainly his appointees were in the loop and approved this. Just more evidence POTUS is not in control of much of the executive branch. “The Resistance” is.

To me this is far more stunning because this conspiracy occurred INSIDE the Trump admin. Steele germinated in Obama’s White Hut and the Hillary campaign.
Trump does not control the executive branch. mcconnel will not aprove Trump’s choices, he will only approve people from a pre-aproved list. That is my belief, and also why I believe barr will do nothing.
My belief, also. Look how fast the Senate GOP sunk Ratcliffe and Trump’s MAGA Fed picks. With Republicans like that who needs Democrats?

When a knife is plunged into your back, it is usually good procedure to check for fingerprints. In this case, there should be a very precise bureaucratic trail for making a substantive change to an important reporting requirement. In a competently run administration, we would have the answers by cob tomorrow. I'm not going to hold my breath.
McConnell called this all a big joke yesterday. He clearly has no interest in investigating this treasonous conspiracy.
