“The inspector general has no idea where it came from. I mean, of course on its face it said it is coming from the White House,” Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md, a member of the House Oversight Committee said. “There is a series of folders which all come from Trump hotels, so folder after folder that says Trump hotel. Now, I haven't had time to thoroughly scrutinize, but it is a packet of propaganda and disinformation spreading conspiracy theories.”

Engel, Schiff, and Cummings on the State IG briefing: “The briefing and documents raise troubling questions about apparent efforts inside and outside the Trump Admin to target specific officials, including former VP Joe Biden’s son & then-U.S. Amb. to Ukraine Masha Yovanovitch.”

Testimony and documents submitted by State Dept. Inspector General didn’t agree with Dem propaganda. Dems go berserk at being confronted by actual facts.

So apparently, the reason the Dem considered it an “irrelevant distraction” is because it was information about the Bidens and their Ukraine connection. The Dems aren’t interested in that, just like they weren’t interested in Hillary’s server, Benghazi or anything else that might reflect badly on their people.

The documents, which were obtained by CNN... and are not available at the link/article.... include claims against the Bidens that formed the basis of President Donald Trump's accusations in his July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as accusations against former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who was recalled earlier this year and whom Trump also criticized in the call. In addition, the packet contains internal State Department emails from officials discussing articles critical of Yovanovitch, calling some of it a "fake narrative."

Now why, oh why, would CNN not provide the documents to the public?

Another option is that some of the State employees have stated that they want to be able to discuss this information when deposed but it has to be briefed to congress and declassified where possible. Resisting the resistance?
