It’s not an invasion, it’s simply an incursion.

Our President has things under control.

Sad to see you are so comfortable with this solider undermining policy of civilian leadership. What would have happened in WW2 to a soldier that did that? And note how few of these service members (none?) ran to the press when the kenyan was getting their buddies killed. Or when Obama botched deliberately botched the SOF agreement with Iraq. Etc., etc.

Who insulted who? I merely suggested that it is not the United States position to keep the peace in Syria. Send in the United Nations.

Sorry, but we had no business in Syria and remember that His Arrogance was kissy-kissy with the Turkish ruler.

These Kurds are allies of convenience and political expediency. They’ve got a decades long track record of being radical bomb throwers. I’m not really seeing much worth saving here. Sorry.

FauxNews is proudly proclaiming that a “record” number of Americans support impeaching President Trump.

He’s a moron who doesn’t understand his job.. He is too close to the situation to be objective anymore. The old term was “gone asiatic”. The fact that he is emotionally connected to that culture doesn’t make it smart US policy. We don’t throw wars for his mental health.

He needs to get his emotions in check and remember he is a US soldier, not a damned Kurd.

Yep, I am a bit tired of it.

> It’s always possible for citizens to sneak over to help the helpless kurds. What’s stopping you? <

I never quite understood that kind of argument, chief. Because by using that logic, no one should be able to criticize, say, teachers unless you are quite prepared to drop everything and then become a teacher.

You can always find someone to criticize what the President does. Griffin covered the Hillary campaign in 2016 and was downright giddy about it. You know the press will report every atrocity they find. Still, there was reason to be concerned about Turkey’s invasion even before this report.

President Trump issued a more coherent statement on the U.S. military presence in Syria in four Twitter posts a few days ago than I've heard from any public official on any foreign policy matter in my lifetime.

Stop buying into the Fox News globalist propaganda. This "U.S. Special Forces member" cited in this slop had no business ever setting foot in Syria in the first place.

There was no good answer for this situation.

Absolutely right. IMO anger against Trump is misplaced, but he is there so the focus is on him. Anger would better be focused on those that lead us into these quagmires. GW Bush, Obama, Hillary, and the CIA. They lead us down the primrose path to a “no win” situation for a plethora of reasons many of which were not good. Trump is trying to focus us back and the sausage making is ugly. Unless we are willing to go total war and annex these countries there are very few good outcomes. I don’t think many of us want to own these countries.

A member of U.S. Special Forces serving alongside the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria told Fox News' Jennifer Griffin on Wednesday

If this were true the soldier deserves prosecution for talking to Jennifer Griffin.

I predicted, and you among others confirmed, that because someone, in this case one of our finest fighting soldiers, has a different opinion based on actually having spent months or years in theatre working with the Kurds while they did the heavy lifting fighting ISIS, that folks here couldn’t politely listen to his opinion and try to understand that point of view.

This is still the place where we can express different opinions, isn’t it?

I was SF and I’ll tell you point blank this conversation NEVER happened. Homey is not going to violate OPSEC to do a piece for Fox News. Loose his clearance and get booted? Not gonna happen. SF take orders. May not like ‘em, but you do as your told. This is complete and utter bull!!!
