While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD) stated that, based on the reporting he has seen, the picture emerging from acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor’s testimony is “not a good one.”
Thune said, “The picture coming out of it, based on the reporting that we’ve seen is — yeah, I would say is not a good one.”

If the gop ceased to exist, splinter parties all across the spectrum would spring up. I think a LOT of people vote against the other party, rather than for the one they pull the lever for. Those voters would have no reason to stay with their party if the other party disappeared

After a contentious 2016 primary, Eric Greitens, Navy Seal became the Republican nominee for Governor in 2016 running against entrenched Democrat, Chris Koster. Greitens won and he won primarily because he was an 'outsider'.
Like our President, as soon as Greitens won (by 6 points) the long knives came out from BOTH parties because this man vowed to 'shake up' Jeff City. He did not back down when more riots started in Ferguson, deploying the NG immediately. His vow to discontinue the 'tax abatements' handed out like candy got the maggot, MO deep state in a frenzy.
A case was built on Greitens having an 'affair' during the campaign. The woman, who now claimed that she was a 'victim' came forward. Claimed that Greitens had tied her up nude and took pictures. NO PICTURES were ever produced. The case was handed off to a corrupt, black district attorney, Kim Gardner. The entire case was rammed through all avenues and pressure continued to build on Greitens. NOTHING was ever proven; no pictures, no nothing...but that didn't stop the media in the state from smearing this man. He finally resigned in June of 2018. What did we get in return? An old, pasty faced white guy who claimed he was out on 'his farm' while all this was going on.
Bottom line: The maggot republicans joined the maggot democrats in badgering this man and building a case on total lies. They showed 'us' that our vote is null and void. 'They' (our betters) have control.
This betrayal can and may happen against OUR President.

President Trump is truly unique in that he's able to withstand the attacks. I believe he will until the very end. Greitens couldn't but I suspect his wife told him, resign now or I'm outta here. Thank God for Trump.
Whatever happens though we must be aware that REPUBLICANS are helping the effort to oust him just like with our Governor here in Missouri.
From other leaks, this guy's testimony is fourth-hand information and doesn't exactly light up the boards for its veracity.

I don’t think the sell outs have any big plan they support. I think they are for sale to the highest bidder and supporters of open borders/illegal immigration are high bidding now and have been for a while. They just do as they are told and are paid well to do it.
I don’t think any of them have any conviction about any of what they do, they don’t care about this country or we the people- just power and money. The people paying are doing it for money too. None of them think this will make our country better, they just don’t care.

I can’t hardly believe those fretting can’t see this guy was more than irritated that he wanted things to stay as they were or he’d quit. His testimoney reads like sour grapes because after YEARS things changed and he couldn’t go with the flow..so was sidelined.
He was out of the loop and control of the policy he wanted to remain.......this is typical for people too long in an office when they’re accustomed to having their way.....especially at his age.

John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, in Tuesday’s closed-door session, deconstructed a key part of the latest Trump impeachment inquiry witness, acting U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bill Taylor. “In 90 seconds, we had John Ratcliffe destroy Taylor’s whole argument,” McCarthy said. It destroyed Democrats’ allegation that President Trump pushed Ukraine to investigate both election interference and a company linked to Joe Biden’s son with a quid pro quo.
Ratcliffe said on Fox’s “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that it is all is a “frame job.” “Neither this witness or any other witness has provided any evidence of Trump’s alleged attempt to hold back military aid to Ukraine,” he continued.
