Naxos sits in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Nearest mainland is 75-90 miles away. (Google Earth) It's an island in 2019. During the last Ice Age, sea levels would have been lower.

Sea levels were about 400 feet lower during the last glacial maximum.

Sea levels prior to 12,900 years ago....would have been 200 to 300 feet lower than today. Various areas of the British Channel would have been walkable from France across to the UK.
